Mainly because I can't really watch it the way it was meant to easily. The depth and emptiness of space when you watched it in 3D was something that really added to the movie. Part of the reason why I haven't seen it since it first came out 9 years ago was because I knew I'd miss quite a bit more than usual on a 2D small screen and I was right. If they show this movie in 3D Imax in 2031 when the ISS is slated to come down and I'm still around would definitely try to make a showing since at 90 minutes it's not like it's a huge time sink to make a showing. Hopefully we'll have holographic theaters by then or something. Disappointed HBO Max didn't try to remix the sound in ATMOS but it still sounded good.
Ok, yes. This movie was meant to be seen in IMAX 3D for full effect. The film itself, however, is 9+ for me.
I was shocked at how good Sandra Bullock looked for her age in Gravity. Actually, saw her in a trailer for something else recently, and was surprised... she's 57 now and still in fantastic shape.
The best food, trainers, “substances”, etc will do that to you. You can throw a rock (pun intended) out the window and hit a celebrity that looks xx years younger than they are.

Gays if I had boyfriends your mums wouldn’t have produced your sorry asses.
Finally saw Batman yesterday. How in the everloving f* is this movie in the same sentence as Dark Knight? It is not even close to TDK imo.
Overall I’d say the experience was positive but not much so if that makes sense. I liked a couple aspects but there were some HUGE glaring problems that im sure have been covered before.

Agreed. I love the new Batman film, but it's not really on the same level as Dark Knight.
Although I do think that comparison makes sense, when you consider other film renditions of the character. The Batman is WAAAY more similar to the Chris Nolan series than it is to Batman v Superman, Batman Returns, Batman & Robin, etc.
I see the Chris Nolan films as being much more archetypal, whereas The Batman is more of what I'd expect from a great Batman graphic novel, with a bit more room for exploring stories and character elements that aren't perfectly in the core of the mythos. I'm glad they chose to go this direction rather than try to out-Nolan Nolan. The Batman doesn't need to be a flawless masterwork (like Dark Knight), as it goes off in other interesting directions and explorations that keep the character fresh.

The Batman - 10/10, incredible movie, better than any of the Nolan movies, best one since 89 for me.
TDK has the best Joker, but absolutely agree. Overall, enjoyed this one more than any of the other live action films.

If they went anywhere near that look and feel of Sin City Im sold... Ill try and catch it this week... I can see how Batman would fit in such a style and universe.
Wish they would do more Sin City tho a tv series was said to be in the works by Frank Miller.

Dune (2021) - 6/10. Never liked the book much and the movie is much the same. I think it's probably a bit worse because the movie is only 60% of the first book and ends in a stupid place story wise. The other issue I have is that they changed a few things, although most of them are minor.
Cloverfield 5/10. Sorry, shaky cam gives me a headache but somehow it didn't make me nauseous so props for that. I highly doubt a hand held camcorder of that era can record in the dark as well as it did plus I doubt the built in microphone can capture the dynamic range of explosions, plus filter out wind noise, plus do surround sound.
Also I mean things were built better back then but surviving an aircraft crash (among other things), really? Needed something to justify the HBOMax sub and remembered this title getting lots of mentions and it was short so gave it a shot.

Yup, I couldn't get into Cloverfield either. I heard lots of rave reviews, but I just didn't like the shakycam, storytelling, action... just didn't really like anything in the film.

At the very least, its a good setup for the more traditional 10 Cloverfield Lane from 2016. Awesome performance by John Goodman as always.
I thought that was a much better movie overall and it makes sense to see Cloverfield first.

I started that pizza movie. Wtf did I watch for 30 minutes.
Yeah, I don't get the hype about that movie at all. I watched the whole thing. It's not terrible, but it's not a movie I'd recommend to anyone. It's only worth watching if you're the type of person that likes to watch a lot of movies, or wants to watch all the nominees.
Yeah I doubt I will finish. Will try to watch that Tammy movie and maybe CODA. I don’t know why Oscars have all these obscure movies. Just generally never understood the appeal. I also never watched that fishfuking movie either.
Date night with my hot wife ended in no sex. I blame Robert Pattison and this boring ****ing movie.
3 hours of boring story line, cringe dialogue with an attempt to rip off of se7en. After two hours we were exhausted, begging for it to end. I contemplated walking out 4 times.

Two things I liked:
- Penguin performance
- Batmobile
Everything else can **** off. Run away.
You mean she didn't like you play bad man with her after the movie?
Funny thing I've noticed, my wife's asked to watch Aquaman with me several times, and it always seem to end with sex. Not really sure why. Similarly when I walk in on her watching the Witcher bath tub scene. Doesn't make much sense, but hey I'm not complaining!
The Outfit - excellent acting and a good old fashioned (almost feels like a stageplay adapted to screen) crime thriller. It is a bit of a slow burn, but I really enjoyed it. I think my father would have absolutely loved it.

Are your pockets full of macaroni and cheese, too?
See more of my horrible photos, and a few good ones here.
The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard. 6.5/10. Can be entertaining, lots of reasonable performances from Ryan Reynolds, Selma Hayak (who still looks amazing for her age), Sam Jackson, Antonio Bandaras, and some % of the jokes are funny. Action is disjointed, as is editing in general.
I kindof love the premise. Like a world focused on bodyguards and hitmen... a good comparison might be Video Game High School, but not quite so far. Ryan Reynolds attends the "Bodyguarding Awards" show, has his bodyguarding licence revoked, etc. Funny premise, with mixed execution.
Overall quality reminds me of Red Notice. Feels like the project was put together quickly, with a reasonable budget, targeting streaming services. Not really a passion project for anyone, but it works at least to a minimally acceptable level. Clearly it didn't get the love of something like Deadpool 2 though.
