The Cursed
My wife refused to go see this, because the well edited trailer had a jump scare that almost put her over the seat.
There wasn't a single jump scare in the actual film.
The whole thing is beautifully shot, and there's some good gore.
Pretty predictable, but enjoyable.
7/10- only because it looked really good, and there was some nice use of audio offscreen. Are your pockets full of macaroni and cheese, too?
See more of my horrible photos, and a few good ones here.

Rewatched Tenet. I thought maybe it would make alot more sense the second time. I guess it did make a bit more sense, but I still feel like I'm a long way away from really getting it. Good movie though.Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.

The Batman - 9/10. Dragged in a few parts but goddamn that was awesome!Originally posted by OzzieblokeI mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. But get a little sweaty and try and blow a fart. It just sits there like a bubble. No hair to break the seal. Feels weird.

Last Duel. 14th century rape and women empowerment /10.
Ghostboners after life. Should’ve just watched the first one / 10.
No time to die (2nd time). Beautifully shot bond movie / 10.
Scream. So bad and predictable / 10.
Kingsman. So bad I just got to the finish / 10.
West side story. Some of the worst songs I had the displeasure of hearing / 10.
Nightmare alley. Overly predictable but well executed / 10.
And a few others I am forgetting.Last edited by KAC; Mar 5, 2022, 10:12 PM.

Rewatched Prometheus. It's okay-ish. 7/10.
Film starts off strong, taking the Alien franchise into exploring new territory. Some good character development, especially for David the robot, and Vickers (Charlise Theron) the robot-like woman who wants her father to finally die so she can take over his empire. Less development for soem of the other characters, including Dr. Shaw (the protagonist). Story is intriguing, questioning who the Engineers were and why did they create us... unfortunately the film goes full-on JJ Abrams and decides it's more fun to tease questions than offer any pay-off for them, and the last half of the film is mostly a series of horror vignettes, meant to feel like a nightmare where you're being chased by monsters and you realize you're not wearing any pants.
It's especially disappointing that this film defers any pay-off until the sequel... and then the sequel opted out of that entirely. Geez, a good sequel could have really redeemed Prometheus.
Honestly I think the Alien series needs to move away from it's "horror roots", and instead start to develop a more cohesive cinematic continuity, focus more on story, have more characters who survive from film to film. The Darkhorse AvP from the early 90s did an amazing job of this, continuing the story from Aliens with Ripley, Hicks, Bishop, & Newt, going on more adventures, learning more about the alien threat and how it evolves over time, etc. That's how the movies should be.Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.

Also, it was the writing of Damon Lindelof, not JJ Abrams that was largely at fault. He's an awful writer. Has good ideas but apparently has trouble wrapping them up in any kind of cohesive story arc. Just look to what he did with the TV show Lost. Sure, it was a TV series and not a movie but he ran into the same issues with that.
Anyways, I did like Promotheus when it released but 10 years later I have trouble rewatching. Its just a real disappointment thinking about what it could have been. WTF is wrong with Hollywood.

Aliens vs Predator. 6.5/10. uhhggg... Ok it's a bad movie, but there's some fun popcorn action to be found here. Structurally it's a mess, there's so many missed opportunities, very little setup or payoff. It's not the AvP movie anyone wanted, but maybe it's the AvP movie we deserved?Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.
