I’m afraid to after the reviews it got.

      Good premise, shite execution.

It was a good flick if you liked the original crew.

            I'd give it an 8.5/10.

It was slow in spots but otherwise very well done.

                  Nightmare Alley - 7.5/10

Great cast, visuals/cinematography/set-pieces - really feels like the 1940's filmed with high-def cameras.

                  Quite the finale.

                      Stowaway (Netflix)

The trailer looked interesting but I was skeptical since I never really watched an Anna Kendrick movie. Didn't see her as someone who could pull off a serious role in a sci-fi. But turned out I thought she was really good in this. I liked the movie overall as well. I went into it knowing very little and it was not predictable at all. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Child of Kamiari Month - Netflix 6.5/10. Animation was fine but the story pacing was not smooth plus wasn't compelling despite following a well tread path. Oh well at least the rabbits were cute.

Moonfall 6.5/10. The effects were dope, and the story was kind of cool. My only problem is they tend to wander down too many cliche movie paths, but thankfully they go a different direction 75% of the time.

Saw it, it was worse than I thought. He's got two movies here and they don't mash. The plot holes are bigger than a Dyson Sphere and the pacing is all over the place. 6/10 and being generous.

Dr. No. 6.8/10, interesting piece of film history. First time viewing it, it's a 60 year old film, and I'm rating it without nostalgia goggles, and without trying to assess it's impact when it released.

In some ways, it feels like a very primitive proto-Bond film. In other ways, it feels remarkably well fleshed out for a first iteration. The theme-song, for example, is surprisingly fully-formed, whereas I expected it would take a few films to evolve that. Connery's performance is great, and there are some good characters, but some characters and plot points are super thin, and don't stand the test of time well.

btw, I bought the entire 007 bluray collection from Amazon last week. I think I paid $60, after the $10 coupon. Not bad. I've always wanted to watch through the full series. Next up in the series is From Russia with Love. After that is Goldfinger, which I've seen before.

there was something special to them, back then. We couldn't wait for the next movie to get released. The last few though were kinda meh although Daniel Craig's version of Bond is a lot closer to the original books than any of the previous movies.
