Dune (2021) on HBO Max - 8/10 (I mean it's just part 1!)
After hearing JZL saying there's 26 min worth of preview nonsense at the theater I'd figure I'd watch it at home with food and drinks and not worry about not making it to the end credits without hitting the bathroom. Can definitely see the wide shots being more compelling on a huge screen and also the bass heavy soundtrack could use huge multiple subwoofers (that opening hit even before the WB logo!).
The book was one of four I got for a dollar when I joined the Science Fiction Book Club in 1974. This movie does it justice. There's no way they can follow the book but they were true to the tenor of the story. Chalamet did well in a difficult role. The visuals are stunning. Leaning to 9/10.
When wifey and I went to see BondJamesBond a few weeks ago we sat through some commercials and then 26 minutes of previews. Before I went in the other day I asked how many previews there would be and he said 15 minutes.
BALD FACE FACKIN' LIE. Twenty-six minutes of previews again!
AMC-- what are you thinking!? This is how you try to bounce back from a pandemic, and how you combat the rise of streamers and home theaters?
Love and Monsters. 8.5/10. Fun adventure movie, lots of imagination, very unpredictable plot. Monsters were fun. I recommend this one.

Yeah, that one was enjoyable. I think part of it is how it kind of came out of nowhere for most people. Nobody was talking about it before it came out. No hype. I don't remember seeing a trailer advertised. It was sort of a word of mouth thing after it came out.
Ghostbusters Afterlife, 10/10. Loved every minute of it.

ghost buster after life, maybe it was the nostalgia but def a 10/10 for me, and hey the kids are actually not annoying in this movie.

One of the few I’m going to go see again in the theater.

Ghostbuster Afterlife. Total fan service, I liked it a lot !!! Super fun. As a standalone movie, it was ok-ish.
It's like unicorns vomiting chocolate rainbows all over me as I float through a lollipop garden on a magic carpet.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes. ;-)
God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things which should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
