Tomorrow War - 8/10

Did not have nigh hopes for this movie but I have to say the movie was pretty good. Special effects were great, the aliens themselves were menacing and the cast was pretty well done.

Its a turn your brain off action movie and that's what I was looking for going in. Watched it on and off but I am out to see Fast 9 right now so I will re-watch again tonight.

The Wind Rises - 7/10. I mean yeah the dream sequences are a huge nostalgia trip back to the Nausicaa and Laputa days but it's a slow movie.

It was good. The humor was off in a few places I thought.

I can't decide if Pratt is an talented actor or not. One scene he can really nail it and the next he seems like is trying too hard.

Yvonne Strzechowskii was REALLY good.

I actually liked that final fight which is sometimes kind of eh....in movies.

Watched this. Unfortunately at the mid point I knew who dun it. After that it was a chore to watch through. Also they should’ve just put the boob midget in a bikini and made her run for 1 hour 30 minutes as she couldn’t act worth crap.

So yeah overall 4/10.

Had potential but my Kingdom for a grenade launcher. Could easily have been a 8-10 but the plotholes yes they do make such things as tranquilizer darts... and tropes kinda cut 2 out of it for me. Wouldve worked a lot better as more of an ensemble piece.

Felt the same when I watched it but Part 2 is far more interesting. Part 1 is like a generic slasher movie while Part 2 moves beyond just being a slasher. Also, Part 2 has a more mature and serious tone.

Other than Part 2 (mentioned above), I also watch The Tomorrow War. Liked it much more than I was expecting.
