Last night I knocked out Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition with my 18 year old son. It's a HD feed on HBO/ax but I up sampled it on the Nvidia Shield and it looked AWESOME!
Knocked out the Two Towers Extended tonight.
Doing Return of the King Extended tomorrow.

I never actually watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I saw the first one. I don't know if I saw the second or third.
I never read the books growing up, so it wasn't like a must-see movie for me. I kind of meant to do it at some point, but I just never got around to it.Comment

Watched Idiocracy with the wife last night. She fell asleep 2/3 of the way through. Good movie overall, although it feels sortof half-complete... Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier - Was fun. It's basically a story about if Jafar from Aladdin was the good guy. So it's basically Wicked, but Jafar.

Wolf Walkers - 7 out of 10. I dunno, not a fan of the old timey art style except maybe when it was just the two wolves running around the forest. Story was your typical one for the targeted audience. I had a fun time, first movie trying out Atmos and they do make use of it. Started my one year free appletv+ seeing how they're going to be taking that away soon.Comment

Greyhound - 7 out of 10. Okay the almost non-stop naval action was cool and Atmos really put the ocean spray and explosions and stuff all around you but outside of the battles and strategy there really wasn't anything. The upside is that it's a pretty short movie that didn't require a huge block of my time.Comment

I Know What You Did Last Summer and A Quiet Place Part II.
I Know What You Did Last Summer was a rewatch after a very long time. Still a great movie. I love the look of these 1990s movies. As for A Quiet Place Part II, I really liked this one and maybe more more so the than first. The sound mix in this was awesome.
Will be rewatching I Still Know What You Did Last Summer next.Comment
