Tenet... 6/10. Disappointing.
But then it was written by Chris Nolan, not Jonathan who rarely comes up with a clunker. Inception a clear hit, Tenet a clear miss. Inception was easy to follow, if not to fuilly comprehend... Tenet is hard to grasp the rules, and frankly I feel like the rules were broken several times but i don't have the mental fortitude to break it down to prove it.
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Jonathan collaborated with his brother on Inception to help him keep everything straight. It has his fingerprints all over it. Tenet doesn't.
Disappointing on another level, in that I was a big fan of the Sator square and wanted to be wowed with a very intricate plot.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

Picked up "I am Legend" with Will Smith Blu Ray 1080p release and World War Z also regular 1080p Blu Ray release... extremely sharp image quality and excellent sound despite being 1080p lol
Fairly corny, apologetic, wimpy movies full of pop corn and imho not real attempts at being riské but they are still fun movies... got both as used Blu Rays... sadly World War Z has a fine scratch on the Blu Ray if you could believe that so an hour into the movie you see some artifacts and skipping the frames... as corny as WWZ was I'm gonna have to buy another copy.
Also I know it's old but wow WWZ sure suffered from bad directing and production... at some point there's a major traffic jam and in the next second set piece, there's no traffic to justify some b.s. set piece.
Also picked up Scarface... bloody hell does it look great.3 Sony PlayStation 3 60GBs Artic Silver since Jan 2011.

Going to watch Conjuring 3 tomorrow but I won't be expecting it to be as good as the first two.
That's because James Wan didn't direct this one. A Conjuring movie without James Wan just won't be the same. In essence, it's going to be on the same level as the other spinoff movies like Annabelle, The Nun, etc.. that had different directors. Okayish but pales to the original Conjuring movies from where they came from.
Which is a shame, James Wan really knows his horror and why his movies that he directed are so good. Next one from him should be Malignant which I think is set to release in September.

Raya and the Last Dragon. Family liked it. 7.75/10"Yes, but God has the right to get away with anything. Shoot animals, make ugly women, allow the existence of religious nuts, and watch liederhosen-wearing midget poodle-licking pornography. God's a sick bastard." - OzzieBloke

finally watched Justice League Snyder cut and Wonder Why Woman 1984
Snyder was cheated from making his vision and I feel he made a monsterpiece film... would have been better if it had been set up as a trilogy or two 4 hour movies but oh well..
Wonder Why Woman??!! what the frack?? I actually fell asleep watching it... atrocious first part, horrible second act and embarrassing third act... whoever directed it should never touch any films ever again... I vote for Snyder to handle Wonder Woman...3 Sony PlayStation 3 60GBs Artic Silver since Jan 2011.

Watched the following movies over the past week:
Stowaway. Thought it was alright but the ending didn't quite feel as emotional as the movie might of wanted it to be. Could be because I dozed off a few times as it was late.
Dead Silence (2007). First rewatch since it came out. Thought it was great. Really liked the atmosphere in certain scenes.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Surprisingly thought it was really good, especially given it was not directed by James Wan. Sound mix was great as well.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw. Pretty good.Last edited by Kain; Jun 7, 2021, 08:34 AM.

Great sound mix, acceptable story if they delve deeper into a certain group mentioned in the film.Originally posted by OzzieblokeI mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. Bo Burnham: Inside (on Netflix) 10/10
A "comedy" special that I've now watched a handful of times and it hits every time. Don't think it will be for everyone, but my god, this thing is a work of art. One person doing all of it; writing, directing, lighting, song production, etc. in a single room that morphs for every sketch into something that is completely different from some awesome use of lighting and filming techniques. The songs are absolute bangers.

Conjuring: Devil Made Me Do It
I enjoyed it, but I've mostly forgotten it by today.
Did that with the other two conjurings, too.
I like that this one did a lot with atmosphere, and relatively few jump scares. Are your pockets full of macaroni and cheese, too?
See more of my horrible photos, and a few good ones here.

Recently watched the following movies:
Awake
Army of the Dead
Blue Velvet
Awake was alright but still worth the watch. Army of the Dead was great. As for Blue Velvet, this must be one of David Lynch's more "straightforward" movies with not much of his usual "weirdness". As of now, if I had to rank all the David Lynch movies I've seen, it would probably be like this:
Mulholland Drive
Eraserhead
Lost Highway
Inland Empire
Blue Velvet
