What's the last movie you saw?

Mortal Kombat (The new one) 6 snoozes out of 10. Wasn't expecting much, so I guess it may have delivered? Most interesting character was Kano, since he was the only one with any actual character. Also, weird seeing Jimmy Olsen as Jax.


The Mitchells vs the Machines 8 Loaves of Bread out of 10. Dug the art style in this one and was surprisingly fun.

Definitely some surround sound effects in the launch sequence and Scott Manly said one of the lines during that. I think Apollo 13 spoiled me in that I wish they had a bigger budget to show a ground crew trying anything to help. The Twilight Zone which it was based off the ship was much deeper into space and the problem was so simple that there really was no need for ground crew involvement. Glad they kept the ending as it is.

Without Remorse. 6.5/10. I really wanted to like this movie, and it had bits and pieces of a good movie sprinkled in, but it was shallow, predictable, and often felt cheap. I think maybe it's made for 13-15 year old boys, who would probably like it. I miss the old tone of Tom Clancy movies, with Harrison Ford or Alec Baldwin.

They're clearly trying to build up to bringing in Jack Ryan in the future, but I'm not sure how that would interplay with John Krasinski's version.

If they're going to continue on with this series (as it seems they want to), they're going to need to improve the quality.

Eli: It was alright.
Oxygen: The best one out of the three. Reminded me a bit of SOMA (the video game).
The Woman in the Window: Pretty good.

What action scenes. 90% of the time they were just talking with half blurry screen. Remaining 10% of the time it was just slow mo blurry action cuts. Only scene worth a damn was the tiger bite.
