i thought there was entertainment to be found in both Genesys and Dark Fate. Neither are worthy sequels to the franchise though.

Its been disappointing to see both the Terminator and Alien franchises struggle, even bringing back their original creators to try to right the ship. Especially since Cameron and Scott are still making great films today... somehow it's just not enough when returning to their old franchises.

Ah well, at least we still have consistently great Predator movies, right?

Well Cameron has producer and writing credits on Dark Fate, so I don't think it had anything to do with lack of involvement by him. I doubt anything would have made it into that movie without his approval of it.

I actually went into it with low expectations and ended up enjoying it more than I was expecting. I have already conceded to the fact they are never going to make a worthy sequel to T1 and T2 again. At least not anything close to what I always wanted to see, a good movie set during the future war. Salvation had the potential to be that, and could have been the start to it if they stuck to the plan of turning that into a trilogy but it was abandoned.

I'd only ever seen snippets of this. Since this is a tech movie and tech is time-sensitive, it was interesting to watch this movie that was made 11 years ago depicting events 15-20 years ago, with old phones, comps, and websites.

Miller and Cameron fought on DF tho the nature of it wasnt clear. Cameron needs to take the reigns and direct himself. But mind you cameron is getting older and may have lost touch with what worked in the first 2 movies. Hes def gotten the CGI bug and could be why that was overkill and ill used on DF.

We hung on hoping for a memorable Eddie moment. Nadda. It was like picking a scab hoping to find gold. Just terrible.
