Not as good as I'd hoped. Usually I'm getting immersed in this sort of movies, but this one is just all over the place. Maybe I should rewatch it. Maybe I shouldn't.
I found the beginning to be a bit of a disaster. The movie starts abruptly, to the point where I wasn't even sure that I didn't accidentally start in the middle of the movie somewhere. So you start out with an action sequence where you don't know what's going on.

And then after that they dump a bit of exposition on you, and you still don't have a clue what's going on.

Then they introduce the inverse stuff, but don't explain it well enough to really get a feel for it.

Then they drop the inverse stuff for about 20 minutes, and jump to India and then suddenly start chasing down another guy. Then they dump a ton more exposition about some guy's wife and some painter she might be cheating with. None of which ends up being important.

After that the movie finally feels like it gets started and it's pretty enjoyable after that. But it's that first half hour that is really all over the place.

The whole inverse effect was well done, but the explanations they give are pretty brief. And then when it gets into the fast action, it's ends up being difficult to tell what the rules are and how it fits together with what you're seeing.

It kind of feels like a movie you need to watch a second time. But I don't know if it is good enough to really dedicate that amount of time to.

Blunder Woman. 5/10. I had very high expectations of this and it disappointed on all levels.

It’s worth a watch. However if I had to pay for it I would be pissed.

It's too bad they could blow it so badly after putting together such a decent first movie, but yeah, we'll check it out.

                    WW84

Not anything special but was somewhat entertaining nonetheless. I wouldn't have gone to see it in theaters, so it's nice it's on HBO Max.

No kidding! DC needs to find their own Jon Favereau. Or just stick to a simple formula: give the audience what they want.

The acting was good. Pedro Pascal, even with a terrible script, was excellent. I actually liked Wiig, although I know she’ll get panned. And who thought, “Man, ‘Cats’ did so well in theatres... we need one in our movie!”?

Well, we're going to check it out tonight, so hopefully we can just turn brains off and enjoy the spectacle. Advantages to going in with low expectations.

meh... it had a few moments but the overall story feels like they found a script someone written in the 80s after doing excessive quantities of cocaine and slapped wonder woman on it

also a ww1 pilot who's entire flying experience is in cloth wrapped wood frame aircraft where every control is mechanically linked to the thing it controls manages to fly a modern jet fighter with no problem other than taking a moment to find the button that starts the engines...

Watched the WW84. Not as bad as everyone says but definitely not that good. The premise was ok but could have been pulled off much better. No need to try and turn it up to 11 in the ending. Super hero movies seem to rely on the special effects budget growing exponentially as the movie goes on. A good movie shouldn’t rely on such gimmicks. IMO. 6/10.

you can't say this after rewarding marvel and transformers movie franchises with billions of dollars for their special effects.

Exactly. We the audience ask for this and movie makers are happy to save money on script writers and instead invest on CGI only.

Not as good as I'd hoped. Usually I'm getting immersed in this sort of movies, but this one is just all over the place. Maybe I should rewatch it. Maybe I shouldn't.
                                                        Tenet explained.

                                                        For example,
Then the CIA puts Washington inside a windmill. The reason he has to live in a windmill is to get his present self out of the way so his future self can operate freely during this part of the timeline, but they don’t explain this in the moment so it seems like they just want him to get really good at pull-ups.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

It's like Disney's "Freaky Friday" set in a wonderfully gory Blumhouse world.

My wife and I both really enjoyed it, but I know some might not.

                                                                WonderWoman 1984 - 7.5/10

Better than alot of people are saying. It's colorful and a bit cheesy, but that's a deliberate aesthetic choice... this movie is meant to have a similar tone to the Christopher Reeves Superman movies.

Lots of plot-holes, sub-par storytelling. What happened to the magic rock at the end? Who was the god who created it and why? How did Cheetah get 2 wishes? Is it because she said she no longer wanted to be like WonderWoman, so then she gets a 2nd wish? Why did WonderWoman need the gold armor for the final battle, as she seemed to be fine without it. How did she ensure that every last person on earth renounced their wish? How did renouncing the wishes to create new nuclear missiles eliminate the real missiles that got launched? How long would it have taken WonderWoman to lose all her power? How did Max Lord learn about the magic stone? Was he already dying before he got the stone, and that's why he was always taking so many vitamins?

I did like how they brought Steve Rogers back to life, interesting that he took over someone else's body. I thought WonderWoman's relationship with him worked very well.

Lots of good action, and fun ways to incorporate cheesy cartoon stuff, like the invisible jet, WonderWoman learning to fly, etc.

Overall it's a flawed movie but I enjoyed it and am looking forward to a sequel.

                                                                          • Both are soldiers in World-War era Europe.
                                                                          • Both named "Steve"
                                                                          • Both played by an actor named "Chris"
                                                                          • Both in love with hot brunettes
                                                                          • Both WonderWoman & Captain America movies conclude with Steve Rogers/Trevors racing down the runway to catch a futuristic German aircraft full of doomsday weapons, hijacking said plane, and sacrificing themselves to destroy the plane & weapons.
                                                                          • Both resurrected in the modern era after their apparent deaths decades earlier.
