Overlord was a good movie for sure. My only gripe that I can think of was I remember it ending too abruptly, just as it seemed it was going to get really good.

I don't know. He's the most logical choice, but he was in the Doom movie which was terrible. FPSes just don't translate well to the big screen I guess. Overlord was great and definitely had a RTCW feel. I'm happy to leave it at that.

The Rock doesn't come off as a Polish/Jewish-American to me.

Even knowing how it ended I felt like I was going to miss something lol.

Yeah, him or Hemsworth would fit the role well IMO. But even with perfect casting I don't think that game would make a good movie, or at least one that would live up to the game.

Nah, I have zero faith that Hollywood could, or would give that game the due it deserves. I was disappointed enough by Doom. No need to let them crush fond memories any more than that.

                            Toy Story 1-2-3.

1 still have an amazing story, but the rendering shows it's age.

2 was better image wise. The premise is OK but the screen play is spot on.

3 was vastly superior image quality wise, however the premise was too much
villain oriented for my taste. The screen play is quite good here as well.

Forgot how much I enjoy the Rocketeer, that movie is spot on pulp!! And Jennifer is so very yummy.

You guys watch those Disney children's movies with your kids, or actually watch them alone for yourself?

I don't know if its because I'm a parent and see children's programming all the time but I cannot stand it. I wont voluntarily watch any animated kids stuff, its all annoying garbage to me.

I like the older Disney movies that were slower paced and weren't so worried about being politically correct. The originals that put Disney on the map are works of art IMO. I don't watch them anymore since my kids are grown, but I loved watching them with my kids when they were younger. We had to re-buy Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp twice since my kids wore out the tapes. Finally bought them all again on DVD just as my kids were getting too old to watch them. Oh well. Grandkids someday...

The more recent cartoons are pretty much garbage, IMO.

Not all of them but yeah I do still enjoy the old Disney cartoons and films and don't mind watching them. Like the short film stuff from the 30's/40's/50's. Some of that stuff is genuinely hilarious and timeless. We just watched The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad around Halloween and it was cool. But I have a real hard time sitting through the sappy new stuff. Its all too safe.

I watch them with the kids and on my own from time to time. I do not mind not having to deal with the adult crap all the time and just being able to enjoy a good time free of darkness and mayhem. (if it is a good movie or show) But I do not see them all the time like you. If I did I might not have the same reaction.

As for all things Tinkerbell and Peter Pan I can not get enough I own all the Peter Pan movies so seeing these movies is a real treat for me. (Never want to grow up, so visiting Neverland is a blast!!)

This is a great movie with Robin Williams and Robert De Niro at their best (and that's pretty damned good), with nice turns from the like of Penelope Ann Miller and Julie Kavner.

Finally got to see The Joker... ended up really loving it even though I really hate the recent decades trend of everything having an "origin" story... maybe there was a bit of old comics reader bias as I decided to see it as a "graphic novel" one shot that most likely isn't canon being converted to film format.

On that note I still really wished there had been a serious attempt at making a stand alone Ben Affleck Batman film while Jerid Leto Joker and Harley Quinn characters were fresh from the Suicide Squad 1 film like what the hell was wrong with people not trying to make a Ben Affleck Batman movie without any "Super" characters or maybe just a phone call... DCU ironically enough was a bit too adult compared to the MCU stuff.

Also watched a couple of 80s films in 1080p, Robot Jox and JoyStick... both were pretty rad brahs
