He also muddied up his point unnecessarily and in a somewhat contrived way by having so many other characters display aberrant behavior with a hey was that real or not in your face I am a cool director attitude.
Last but not least could we have one more poorly thought out stereotypical character in the movie? The plays director, Winona Ryder's character, Mila Kunis's character all so very stereotypical that webster is having a hard time determining which one to put in the dictionary under stereotypical. The movie should have 50% of any score it gets deducted for having a sterotypical douche like that director in it, but at least he made up for it by not being able to act at all.
The movie was dumb, required no thought, held no surprises, and was only saved by shots of portman in her underwear, portmans acting ability, and people who think they are so refined that they think they are the only ones who can see the connection between swan lake and this dumb movie and are the only ones who can appreciate the "art" of it.

Can I not have a different opinion than you? Sorry I hurt your movies feelings.

Good movie, but hard to watch. Probably not something I'd watch again, either. Not because it was bad, but just that the struggles were pretty draining to witness. The movie feels like it takes it out of you. In that sense, the movie does an amazing job.
Possible spoiler:
With that said, when you take yourself out of the movie's universe, you have to wonder what would cause mankind to turn to cannibalism like that. Even in countries where people are starving to death, they still don't eat each other. I'm not sure the movie is believable in that regard. Also, something that wipes out all the animals would surely wipe out mankind. But that's besides the point. The move doesn't attempt to address those questions because they aren't the focus, it's just a father and son trying to survive. And it does well with that.Perky McGiggles

I watched Chopper again for the first time in years on cable last night, omg that is the funniest movie ever
Dont know if Americans would understand it or its dark humor though... Its the true story of an underworld figure in Melbourne (played by Eric Bana) in the 80's that claims he has killed 19 drug dealers etc as a vigilante of sorts, but like he says dont let the truth get in the way of a good story..
As for the Road, yer I think once is enough with that movie, great movie but I dont need to be that depressed lol.Last edited by demo; Feb 5, 2011, 10:59 AM.CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R7 7700X / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

You make a good point about the cannibalism, but I guess in the story, they needed something so grotesque and horrific to oppose the goodness of the boy and his father that the only believable one could be cannibalism. Just having robbers or some kind of gang wouldn't be enough probably.Originally posted by KACGays if I had boyfriends your mums wouldn’t have produced your sorry asses.
