Thank you all. Sorry about the lateness of the reply. Was a little rough at the time especially with the time of year.
It is now a new year and my wife and daughter have been sorting of complaining about how empty the house has been without a dog. Found out last night that they had both been looking on and off the last couple of weeks without saying anything. Wasn't really looking to get another dog so soon after but I did search myself last night and found an interesting listing. Made a couple of inquiries and the result was,
Been awhile since I posted here, but will have some new pics shortly. You may remember me posting this last spring that we lost our choc lab Cora. Super sad day and we had decided not to replace. That left our black lab Riley pretty lonely but the cats stepped up. Anyway, lupboy1 sent us some pics earlier this week, one thing led to another, and he’s bringing home Tillie at thanksgiving, a 7mo old female choc lab.
So, my new buddies should be in this thread now. They’ve all but commandeered the mud room, and they’re beginning to get comfortable enough to come into the kitchen and living room. Love these little guys
Sad to hear another family loss. I'm sure you gave him an awesome life.
We tried to be good humans for him. The wife threw her usual “Be a good boy and watch the house!” On the way out the door this morning, then it hit her.
My ancient little pup having a stare down with a Bantam. The vet keeps telling us to get ready to make the call, but he just keeps going and going. He doesn’t have cancer like the vet thought before the scans, but we can only have him groomed occasionally now. A clipping gets him scratching so bad he cuts himself.
But, he’s not in pain, still loves to play in spite of being half blind and deaf. We’re grateful to still have the little monster with us
Quoting because it’s the last decent pic we have of him.
