Beautiful dog. Experiences with Huskies, like any other breeds, vary from person to person. Just because yours(and your brothers presumably) were not loyal does not mean mine wont be(I will get a husky in time).

Ive been wanting a husky forever, but I want to have a house(in condo now) before I get one.

Zappa is not a husky, alaskan malamute they're bigger cousins of the huskies.

An American breed, the Alaskan Malamute was named after the native Innuit tribe called Mahlemuts, who settled in Alaska. They have always been used as sled dogs for heavy freighting in the Arctic. The breed is cousin to the other Arctic breeds: the Samoyed, the Siberian Husky and the American Eskimo dog.

and yes, they need a lot of attention. especially since she is only 2 month old. but its a great experience so far, she still pisses all over the place when she gets carried away while playing, but at least she doesnt poop anywhere but outside.

It might take issue with being called a pet. Thinks of me more as it's man servant or something. I spent my lunch break today hunting for food for the little guy. Surprising how difficult it is to find a proper sized bug for lunch and not look like a creep.

As the huskylord, I can attest "loyal" is not the word to describe a husky. A husky will not guard your house, they will not act in "your interest". You don't leave a husky untied outside a coffee shop and expect it to still be there. Loyal probably fits better with labs and german shepards. Huskies have lots of other awesome advantages, but a husky is alot like a big cat, and you'll find they use their intelligence to serve them and not you.

But you'll love your nonetheless

Was out walking a couple of weeks ago and came across this guy wandering around, quite aways from the river, had a spare aquarium so i thought i would see if he could adapt, he took a couple of days to settle but he's eating well now and seems happy enough.

I saw two of those this Summer. I keep them for a few days and release them. Second one was by the curb on a fairly busy street so I parked my car and picked him up so he didn't get run over.

I also find box turtles around here, but they're endangered last I checked so I can't legally keep them.

Yeah i wasn't sure if i was going to keep him, but i think he will be OK, if he had of refused to eat i would of taken him back and let him go by the river, suppose if i tire of him he can be released come spring. He's a pretty cool little guy actually.

I remember you posting your turtle, i take it he's doing fine, getting bigger ? I know they are quite similar but will they be OK to put together and will they/can they breed ?

Turtles are cool. The one I found on the side of the road was turbo charged, I turned around for 10 seconds and when I turned back around he was like 25ft away. Dude was like Usain Bolt. He probably would have been fine in the road after seeing how fast he was.

Yeah my turtle is pretty fast too. Most pond turtles move pretty quickly actually. Its the tortoises that are usually slow.

Yeah, its ok to breed different turtles as long as you're not trying to breed a turtle vs tortoise (two veeeryy different animals).

Mine is big alright. He's really hyper nowadays lol. I'll take pics later.

I kind screwed up when I took the video, the problem was that I didnt really know how sensitive the camera was when I got it and just moved too much, but if you try to hold it still its all good.

EDIT: Also It has an old firmware, might also be that, ill have to try again.

This is Perseus, a quaker parrot who is about 8 months old.



These guys are Plato (further out, with more blue) and Cassiopeia (closer to Hades) , parrotlets (The Kids I call them) who are brother and sister from the same clutch hatched last July; and a cockatiel named Hades who is about 8 months old. Plato is a hell raiser and likes to fly on everyone else's cage and cause trouble. Cass tries to boss everyone else around- she is the Alpha bird around here.



This is Lexi, a 5 year old chow and the most beautiful dog on earth. The other lil' guy is Ace, the cutest dog on earth. He's 4 months old.

We put him down yesterday, and the wife and I feel awful about it. He was 12.5 yrs old and has been with us ever since the wife and I were dating. I can't even look around the house without picturing him sitting on the back of the couch, following me around, carrying his stupid little beanie baby stuffed animal around in his mouth, or chewing on the Christmas tree.

After an X-ray in June when we were trying to figure out why he was having peeing issues, the vet discovered he had pretty advanced spondylosis. Since then he's had other issues, and things went downhill.
