Three months ago our 13 year old Dachshund passed away. Really hit my fiance and I pretty hard. We went through the whole mourning process and never really got over it. I think we are just dog people and the house felt so bare without a dog in there. So we mulled around the idea of getting a new puppy and we picked one up Saturday.
Meet Titus. Hes a 9 week old smooth wild boar dachshund and a handful... busy trying to crate train, potty train, and normally train him already. Already a couple of sleepless nights.
Three years after getting Titus we have just picked a new pup to be his sister. Titus is very social and we feel bad that he doesnt have someone around all the time. So we got Pixel, picker her up on September 5th. Shes a smooth red brindle dachshund. Pixel and Titus are already thick as thieves.
I mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. But get a little sweaty and try and blow a fart. It just sits there like a bubble. No hair to break the seal. Feels weird.
It's an older pic of him, but it's my favorite.
We said goodbye to this beautiful beast yesterday. Nearly 19 years of headbutts, and the weirdest sounding 'meow' ever- more of a MEEP sound.
RIP Steven Tyler (cat, NOT the singer)
Are your pockets full of macaroni and cheese, too?
See more of my horrible photos, and a few good ones here.
Sad to hear but I think 19 years is pretty long for a cat. I'm sure he had a great time growing old with you. Cat naps in the clouds.

Put our most cherished child to sleep yesterday. We have no kids so he really was our first and only born of sorts.
So tough to do, but it was time.
He gave us 15.5 years of love, care and joy. We got him from a rescue at 1 year old, so he died at 16.5 years of age.
I hope he is at the 'all you can eat' buffet for dogs in the sky enjoying awesome meals all while looking down at us do our daily thing.

Here's hoping for health and many more years for you to enjoy her being.

Sad to hear. 20 years?! She certainly had a good run.

after previous post about my darling sofina having thyroid surgery she seems to be doing ok still, has put on weight though has had two cuts around the left eye the past month, took her to the vets again for a checkup on monday and they said she seemed ok. maybe from excessive rubbing. never has had cuts from that before. strange.

Always sad to hear when a pet leaves us. Sorry, mate.
