Geez that's a big lab husky!
The breed of my dog isn't recognised outside of Australia afaik. It's called a Kelpie and were bred from collies and dingos. Exceptionally smart dogs and very loyal to one owner, to the point they are often overly protective and a bit snappy or nippy. I wouldn't let my Kelpie near children tbh. They don't seem to socialise with other dogs too much either.
Anyway, my girl again.. Marley!

She's smart as a whip and won't let ANYONE within 50ft of us without barking at themAlso doesn't like other dogs too much except for my other dog. They're best buddies.

Hey nice looking dog bro. I wonder what else it has mixed with it (there's no such thing as an Australian shepherd here, it's an American breed my mate curio told me).
Check out this type of Kelpie, called a silver fawn. Silver hair and blue eyes. I've tried so hard to get one but always seem to miss out when litters are born, they are rare and would have to travel interstate.

Thanks man. She's a great girl (got returned to the shelter 3 times before we adopted her). She needs a firm hand and lots of attention, but is the most snuggly and affectionate dog I've ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with.
Dunno about where the Australian Shepherd originated from, but she's def mixed with it (when we give her a close-er haircut the pattern of the shepherd really comes out).
As for the silver fawn...

Yeh I'm not surprised she ended up at the pound a few times, they can be a real handful. Most people don't know what they're getting themselves into when getting a Kelpie, they're just so energetic and in need of constant brain stimulation in a typical backyard. They really should be on open plains chasing animals. I had to extend my fence by a meter because she climbs it like a cat and kept getting out, but lol only to wait on the front door mat for me to get home from work.
I've had 3 Kelpies now. Two were black and tan and the other was pure red. Love them, so smart. I taught my last one to fetch my pack of smokesCROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R7 7700X / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

Noice one Munky! You too Barley and aop.
So I stepped outside and almost walked into this bad boy.. er girl.
I have no idea what kind of spider it is but it looks like it could chew my face off. It's almost as big as my hand but looks smaller in the photosI seriously didn't want to get much closer, I'm guessing those colours mean 'Stay the f_ck away'. Web is really thick too, like trawling fishing line.
Ok, just look casual to start off with babe. Look up. Nice, nice.
Now growl like a Tiger! Rawwwrrr. That's it, perfect shot babe!
Last one bade. Be sexy. Now angry. Now more sexy. Flick your hair! You're a natural, great shot!
That's a wrap everybody!

I tried to but it ate my hat.
Looks smaller in the pics, if I get the courage I'll put a pen next to it for reference, I'd say it's about that long.
edit/ Ha I tried but no chance I'm going near that thing. It's about an inch longer than a BIC pen.CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R7 7700X / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

Yeh because its web spans across my side path from the house to the fence. I figured I'd leave it there as a nasty surprise for any intruders in the night.Bet they didn't see that coming.
That and I didn't want to go near the bloody thing. I don't know what sort of spider it is, Ozzie might know. It looks deadly to me and might be able to move really fast or jump like some others can.. I can see myself going over with a shoe to kill it, only to be outmaneuvered and bitten on the back of my neck while I'm still trying to figure out where it got to..
I've been outmaneuvered by a big ass spider before. It was an intense dual in my bedroom where I was genuinely caught off guard by how quick and smart the thing was. But much like the Thunderdome in MadMax, two men enter, one man leaves... Yeh son.

Well it's serving a purpose for me atm. My side path is a blind spot and I've scared someone off from there before.. I think it was someone I knew tbh. Anyway, if someone jumps the gate they're in for a surprise. It's in the perfect position as that's exactly where one would climb over due to fence rails on the other side, making it easy to climb. It's the weak point of my fortress, but now it's reinforced and manned 24/7.
I'll take a photo of it's web tomorrow, it's freaking huge like a bunch of clothes lines crossing each other and spanning a few meters. Thick like fishing line too. I've never seen one before and actually had a hard time breaking it and getting it off me when I walked into its 'outer perimeter'. No, this ones a keeper. It's a freaking man trap out there.
I get the feeling that big sack on it is about to explode with thousands of babies though..CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R7 7700X / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

A client of mine has about seven of them strung along the side of her house between the fence and the roof. You just walk underneath them and pray that that isn't the moment one of them decides to go kamikaze on your head.

Ultasound (see shaved belly) done last week cause he just had no energy and was throwing up. He has dozens of cancer in many lymph nodes. He is slowly dying.
He is on meds to make him comfortable but I dread the day soon where he will no longer cope and we have to put him to sleep.
He has his good days and bad days. Some days he eats and can walk well, other days he refuses to eat and walks with a limp. He ALWAYS use to run, now he only walks.
