I mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. But get a little sweaty and try and blow a fart. It just sits there like a bubble. No hair to break the seal. Feels weird.

Holy sh*t, he doesn't have "judgemental eyes" on yet. You must be holding a treat or some other offering of apology

Yea, he is only about 100lbs -- only another 90lbs to go.
So awesome. I love big dogs, especially Danes. They're "little" cuddle monsters.

Has an even better "I'm sick of your sh*t" look than Munkus's dog

At 5 months, this is how Norman sits on the couch.
He's going to be huge.
Hope you don't mind the veterinary tip: DO NOT let him do any heavy running exercise of any sort until he's 18 months of age at the soonest. On-leash exercise only. His carpal growth plates are quite pronounced, and the best thing you can do with a Dane is no let them get fat in the first 3 years of life, and don't let them over-exercise. Those bones have to grow and strengthen slowly.
Matilda, my Dane, at the age of three, has perfect legs and runs like a greyhound as a result of this. The rest of her litter have arthritic problems already, because they all got fat too fast, and were running at the park and beach before a year of age.
I really appreciate that OB. We have been really careful with exercise -- especially after he eats. That said, we have recently been taking him to the dog park to run around with the other dogs for 10-15 mins, just to socialize and burn some energy. Do you think that is too strenuous?
As far as diet goes we converted him to raw about a month ago. Thoughts? balanced with bone, organs and some supplements.

5-10 minute run at most. Rest of the time should be yard-play only, by himself, NO ball or stick-fetching where he has to do any hard turns or stops. And skinny is good for a dane for the first 2 years of life.
DO NOT do calcium supplements unless he's on a diet that is calcium poor - and such a diet would be crap anyway. Over-supplementing calcium results in growth plates trying to incorporate it too quickly, and end result is swollen, painful growth plates and arthritic issues later on in life.
If he's on natural including things like chicken frames, bones, etc, he's getting all the calcium and phosphorus he needs, and in the right proportions. Nothing wrong with raw, and every Dane is different and picky about what they want to eat. Try to go with grain-free biscuits with as few preservatives as possible if you do. I'm not familiar with US brands of dog food.
Also, as mullet said, no heavy exercise immediately after eating. Best thing to do is to do 3-4 small meals evenly spaced across the day, rather than one big one. Keeping a dane skinny keeps the stomach tucked up against the spine and stops it sagging, which can lead to a flip and twisted stomach.
