It makes the shower gel get sudsier so a little goes a lot farther than it would without it, plus it exfoliates

Maybe you have naturally oily skin

Lots of women have sensitive skin that dries out easily. Plus, you can't really use a sponge or loofah with soap, and its more effective to use those because it scrubs off all the dead skin cells so you're skin looks healthier.

I use Oil of Olay body wash, or something similar. Regular soap dries out my skin.

I don't use one of those poofy sponge things. It would only get clogged up with hair.
