bought it now for the sale and it's only going to go up in price
don't know where i'm going to put it for awhile

first i have to tear down the 20x14 workshop because CenturyLink changed the phone pedestal on the conner and was kind enough to rase the ground level for the new pedestal and burry the back and side of my workshop by about 3 inches
so now it's full of termites

because of my dad being sick the last 3 years i was not out there much and didn't notice it till it was too late

i have dug it back out and poured a ton of Termiticide termite treatment all around but about all that is left of the T1-11 siding is the paint

going to see if the city will let me put a Gambrel Roof on it this time after i lay two courses of 8 inch block before i do the wood walls

i'm priming 25 sheets of t1-11 now before i tear down

Thermal inspection cameras are super useful for a surprising amount of things beyond just being interesting. They're great for HVAC and weatherization leaks, but they can spot a drip getting into a ceiling tile or similar from a mile away, and I've used mine to hang picture frames (you can see the studs through the drywall and even the screws).

                            Not cheap though.

They are also good for rectum inspections.

Looking at reviews and images for that Infrared Camera, and wow that does indeed seem super handy! All the plumbing, air, and heating issues I've had over the years that would have made things super easy. Too bad it's costs so much...heh you could buy something far more practical/lasting like a 4090 for that much

You can also film Predator scenes with it.

Do you need to spend 3k to do those thing? Is the phone attachment version not good enough to get the job done?

Phone attached ones work just fine, but will often not outlive one or two phones because of change of connector or app update support. You can get cheaper handheld models, down to about $400-500, but you pay for higher resolution, radiometric measurement (actual temperature and not just relative temperature), framerate (over 9Hz is export restricted most places as military related tech), and for the FLIR brandname.

You can find a decent number on the used market for cheaper prices, but expect to shell out a few hundred for anything serviceable. Personally, I'd only go down to about a 160x120 sensor, but it gives a surprisingly sharp looking image for the resolution, and typically inspection cams have a much narrower field of view than a normal camera, so the resolution of the image at the same distance feels a bit more comparable.

it was on sale for 2k
                                          and for work yes

phone attachment version has a Thermal Resolution only of 160 × 120 and is slow and the iPhone one with lightning connector falls off or loses connection a lot and my old one needs to remove the phone or ipad from its case to work
The FLIR ONE Pro helps you find invisible problems faster than ever, whether you're inspecting electrical panels, troubleshooting mechanical systems, looking for HVAC problems, or finding water damage. This FLIR ONE Pro-Series camera offers 4x the native resolution of the FLIR ONE Pro LT, for sharper image clarity that's further enhanced by the revolutionary FLIR VividIR™. Measure temperatures more than 3x higher than any FLIR ONE model—up to 400°C (752°F)—with a sensitivity that detects temperature differences down to 70 mK. Packed with powerful measurement tools, the FLIR ONE Pro will work as hard as you do.

                                          it's a 430 dollar toy

this has double the Thermal Resolution of 320 x 240 and is Wi-Fi & Bluetooth for Data Sharing and faster

when i go up into a 150f attic looking for air leeks i want something fast and reliable

but without the $1,109.01 Prime savings i would have got a little cheaper one
was looking at the 240 x 180 FLIR E6-XT at 2150 when i saw the Prime savings for the better one

and Thermal Resolution 1024 x 768 Sensor can go for 40k

I put my dying 5700xt into my son's since it was doing fine with low end games, but it finally fully died. So I bought a new GPU for my PC and transferred the Asus RTX 3070 to my son's PC. I also needed a new PSU to power the new GPU I got, transferred my old PSU to my son's PC.

So far i'm actually surpised by the sound quality, especially the bass. For a soundbar without an external subwoofer it puts out a surprising amount of bass. I also like the Dialog Enhancer and the bluetooth connectivity. As usual for Denon it comes with all possible cables so the setup was as easy as it gets.

For the price (~140€) it's a great 2.1 soundbar. Mind you it's not for our main setup although it would do a good job there also.
