At the Gates - The Scar (Live at Roadburn)
Long story: After getting Slaughter of the Soul sometime around 1998 and being blown away by it, I searched high and low for any At the Gates material. I eventually found Terminal Spirit Disease, but still had dreams about one day finding The Red in the Sky is Ours as well as The Burning Darkness. Once I got them, probably had to special order them I don't remember, but they sounded terrible! Tinny guitars, shallow drums, and a wild annoying voice that no one could love. But because I was such a fan of the band and CDs were damn expensive I listened to these two over and over again and eventually saw through the terrible production level. This is all to say that I'm glad they're back and bringing some of these old tracks back. The Scar was one of a handful of tracks that were actually listenable in their original form. The below live version sounds amazing, but it does subdue some of the clearly defined melody for a moody atmospheric sound.

Silent-Runner got me to listen to Gunship's Ghost and then Apple Music recommended this Stranger Things'd version of this old Beatles song!

Been enjoying Samantha Fish a lot lately. Very talented Blues Guitarist/singer. Her style varies a lot, especially over the course of different albums. Here's a selection.
ps. love the site upgrade making it easy to do the embedded video links. I never could get the hang of it on the old site.
Watch It Die
No Angels
A classic... I Put a Spell on You. I think the best rendition of the song I've ever heard.
Something completely different .. the Chills and Fever album
Black Wind Howlin
Old live performance cover with Sadie Johnson, primarily just guitars, but impressive. Black Cat Bone
