Yup....Definitely like their 70s stuff better. (I mean Yes).....though no doubt the first Yes song I ever heard, honestly probably heard it frequently on the radio as long I've been alive. My parents dug their 70 and 80s stuff
sorta on that note:

I put all my MP3s on shuffle and made a playlist out of it on my phone. I've been making progress downwards since mid-July. A Dying Wish was one of the more recent ones that came across. Most of that album is 9/10 for me. I bought the CD on a whim in 1999, and it's still one of my favorites, even if I don't listen to it that much (have to be in the mood).
EDIT: I should also add that this album is one of a handful that I did not like the first time I listened. Opeth's Orchid, Sepultura's Arise, and Withered Beauty's self titled album are in the same category where something in one or two tracks hooked me and kept pulling me back (@ 5:40, the bass/reverb drum in A Dying Wish, carefully, deliberately leading to louder, faster, harder energy is an example of one of those hooks. Oh man, and the following vocals... I can't understate how perfect the vocals are in so many stretches (but not all of them for sure)). By the 10th or so listen, I'd "get it" and those are the best music listening experiences for me.
Allegaeon's Proponent for Sentience is the same, except I liked it from the beginning, but only liked it more the more I listened.
In the same vein, here's Drewsif Stalin's Musical Endeavors with Ink:

Yes that part is sweet. Doomy reverbed tom rolls and good build ups always do it for me. Its pretty amazing song considering that the main riff is really only like 3 different notes but they make it work for 8+ minutes.
And yeah just about all Opeth requires multiple listens to truly appreciate.
