difference between involuntary terminated and laid off?

I'm filling out an application for a new best buy store right now and have a question. Whats the difference between involuntary terminated and laid off? Is laid off downsizing because thats what happened.

involuntary termination is where you are fired. layoff is a reduction in staffing

laid off = made redundant

Terminated=Fired= Something you ****ed up got you kicked out.

Laid off=Downsized=Due to finacial problems/decisions the company had to "let you go", or in other words, it wasn't your fault.

Involuntary termination: Hope you have some money saved up.

Laid off: At least you can get unemployment checks until you find another job.
