Battlefield 4 PC patch 3 improves stability, fixes "shot behind cover" issue

Quicker than expected, a new update has been released for the PC version of Battlefield 4.

This one further improves stability (it's unclear if the popular audio loop crash is included in this or not) and also fixes the "shot behind cover" issue, which is explained below.

Sometimes the character stance could get into a multiple frame desync and be part of the problem where you got shot even though your character was actually behind cover. This would mostly affect players doing transitions into crouch and prone as well as moving when crouched. The impact was smaller in a standing stance. This bug fix eliminates this particular desync issue.

We have also increased the camera height when crouching and moving to more accurately reflect the actual height of your soldier in that stance (the first person camera was too low when crouching and moving, resulting in that you had a poor representation of how much of your soldier that was actually out of cover.)
Various bug fixes are included too (detailed at the source if you're interested); boot Origin now to grab the 888MB update.

Nice to see a company supporting their game post release unlike IW/Activision. Only wished we had half the support BF4 gets and a real anti-cheat in Ghost.

There's been roughly the same amount of fixes/changes for Ghosts http://community.callofduty.com/thre...5#.Uqa4cuLqp2M

They haven't fixed any of the major bugs. Very poorly optimized, stutters. Not enough players online to play all the game modes mostly do to extremely high minimum specs which prevents half the steam users and hackers are not being actively banned.

BF4 devs actually keep their customers in the loop with known issues and bug fixes. IW on the other hand never talk to us. They never tell us what the known issues are or what they working on. We are left to wonder week after week if ever things will be fixed. When we do get a patch it just appears out of the blue with no release notes until we beg for them. Most times they release patches that do nothing to improve the game. On the very rare instance that a moderator on their callofduty forums does respond to performance issues they pass the buck to the graphics card and say to contact the manufacturer to report bugs so AMD/nVidia can fix this via driver updates LOL

Even if they did put out a patch to fix the major issues it means nothing when hackers are openly and blatantly hacking the game. I've got a clan of 6 hackers that I have monitored since Day2 and they are still hacking. Even advertise on their steam profiles where to get hacks. Here is an example of the hacking (not my video but these are the hackers that I monitor they are internet stars by now).

After updating my sound driver, I haven't had a hard lock with sound loop. After this game update, it has returned.

DICE says it should be fixed with the next update.
