Or maybe AMD should stop doing these stupid things and use the saved money on gaining a better understanding of the market they're in? I bet that the other stupid things like the story of FX didn't sell one extra processor, but actually figuring out how to properly position your product stack and not always be caught in a reactive mode would help. Just saying.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.. people will bitch and complain (see above) no matter what AMD does..

I'd be willing to bet that the people that are responsible for the creation of said materials have little to nothing what so ever in "figuring out how to properly position" AMD's "product stack". It's like asking the janitor at Google's Chicago Mart address to implement a better search algorithm..
Fermi Paradox*: "The apparent size and age of Fermi die suggests that many technologically advanced GPUs ought to exist.
However, this hypothesis seems inconsistent with the lack of observational evidence to support it."

Well, that makes complete sense...I mean Google, when needing a better search algorithm, and being money strapped, either hires more janitors, or really hangs on to the set it has. Alternately, throwing corporate money down the drain rather than directing it where it's needed is stupid. And any company, including AMD, should be damned for it - I know, life is unfair like that.

Intentional until Oct 9th I think.

                Semiaccurate outs the details.

They've got two choices, shut up and let the Win 8 launch slide by or talk about what they're doing. Win 8 is pretty big event so it doesn't make sense to miss out, and this is going to be part of the noise.

Remember a lot of their PR got moved to outside companies.... maybe that's driving some of this.
