AMD Radeon dual-GPU flagship to launch at Computex next month?

Powercolor shared this pic on their facebook page today, of a monstrous card with a gigantic cooler. It's either a whole house air filtration system or their customized version of the new dual-GPU card from AMD:

I bet that's a whole house air filtration system.

That looks almost like a 4 slot cooler.... I hope AMD prices this thing at 800.

Its either a 3 or 4 slot cooler yes, lol.

But... Why on earth put such small fans on it? You'd think they have lots of space for larger ones... Hell, two 120mm fans should fit nicely there haha.

You hope??? ...Why 800? Why not say 150? What's going on in that head of yours?

Not sure what you mean The 6990 was priced @ 700. With the increase in pricing of this gen and current 7970s going for about 450 or higher. 800 seems to the price that they would go for. Of course 700 would be better but I highly doubt that's going to happen.

You seem to only encourage them to charge high. is what i mean.

Applaud the new card, always shout you wished it were cheaper. Understand?

If they are going to launch the 7990 cards, then what about the re-spin 7970 cards?

If they were doing such a thing, I'd estimate it'd be late Q3, early Q4.

Me likey PowerColor . Looks like a triple slot card. Price, hmmm, sounds more like $899. Not as if these will be in great supply plus a very huge demand. Still cheaper then a 690 I would think and probably more powerfull.

                        Depends on clocks.

Would you release a dual-GPU card that's not the fastest? If you do you've got to be significantly cheaper. Then you're diluting your brand and showing you know you're second. For a halo part that's not optimal.

Not only the fastest, one more thing:

                          They have to solve microstuttering.

Nvidia did it, so if AMD releases a dual-gpu that is about as fast, cost about as much and has a ton of microstuttering... Its utterly pointless and a waste of time.

Microstuttering in crossfire is non-existant with the HD79xx cards.

I expect AMD's two strong points with this card will be actual availability and reliable operation.

I wouldn't, now will it have dual bios? or OverDrive Boost? How well will it work together with a 7970?

There was no such thing as good availability with the 5970 or 6990 till months after release. With the 5970 price gouged over msrp by over 100 for months on end. I owned both those cards and I had to camp newegg to get them even several months after release. I wouldn't expect the 7990 to be any different.

Yeah for the longest time I was going to go with a 6990, but never did I actually find one in stock and gave up for it. And that was for like a year I looked. Granted I wasn't paying over msrp.

Hmm... But the new process...? is to their advantage..?
7970 has no availability problem whatsoever so i suppose the dual card this time will be obtainable from day 1.
                                    If not: then thumb down.
