The Frostbite 2 engine is currently powering Battlefield 3 and will be powering more titles come 2013, including Command & Conquer: Generals 2. Even better news: the games will be 64-bit only, meaning potentially better load times, increased stability, and more. The news comes way of DICE rendering architect Johan Andersson, who plays a large role in the engine's development.

We'll have Frostbite-powered games in 2013 that will _require_ a 64-bit OS. If you are on 32-bit, great opportunity to upgrade to Windows 8
