The benchmark for this kind of marketing?

      Video Loca Bitchin fast 3d.

If they can out-awesome that ad, then they'll win the GPU wars forever.

Maybe a joke but it looks better then some of the AMD marketing stuff too .

Actually the slides from AMD are top notch so I don't want to foil their reputation that much. Nvidia knows how to generate hype, AMD seems to be able to get critical responses instead.

Yeah it was in Maximum PC magazine wayyyyy back in the day months maybe a year or so after they stopped being Boot magazine iirc...

I actually possess or actually have that actual magazine with that actual ad in my collection, glad I never threw it out its just stored in a box of magazines somewhere so I have to dig it up

PS its the Dream PC of the Yeah edition where they had a massively fast Intel Pentium III coppermine CPU at a blazing fast it will blow your eye sockets 650MHz!! and because the Geforce 1 had yet to be physically released, the Matrox G400 was in that machine instead.

Is this the way they start promoting their product now, like a 13 year old kid? It's pathetic.

That "Bitchin fast" is good satire! I always giggle when i see it.

Yeah I noticed how you fail to notice how both AMD and Nvidia have been marketing their graphics cards for way too many years now alot like penis enlargement or enhancement products...

Or even how overclockers have the pissing contest mentality of a 13 year old... or some 53 year old bald fattie buying a Viper or Corvette to go back to thinking he is a 13 year old...

Hell even the 3dFX marketing days qualifies in that mentality...

You know what would actually probably work? Put that ad up for real and add a bit of text at the end saying something like: Maybe it's not the fastest anymore, but it's still the best experience you can get! (or something vague like that...)
