Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler Review @ Rage3D.com

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a mid-priced tower cooler for budget minded enthusiasts looking for a solid performing and good looking replacement for their stock cooler. Using Intel's X58 Core i7 platform as a heat load, we test it in single and dual fan configuration.

Good review as usual, except the test system is not the system in the pics.

Do you feel that the EVO is worth the difference in cost versus its predecessor the Plus?

The following linked thread contains a link to testing done with the EVO versus the Plus and with the EVO's fan swapped to the Plus and vice versa:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO performance A test and review made by me: Original source: http://dvtests.com/?p=6565 Google translated: http://translate.google.bg/translate?sl=bg&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=bg&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fdvtests.com%2F%3Fp%3D6565 Enjoy

I feel that for less noise but the same performance, the EVO is worth its $5 difference versus the Plus when it is available for that price, and the EVO's fan could be replaced by a more powerful fan, leaving the Plus far behind!

The thermal paste itself is ordinary stuff, not particularly high performance or expensive, and you might get more thermal conduction from a different TIM but, if you're going speed $10-12 on paste, you probably ought to consider buying a second fan first, which will give you a better increase in thermal performance.
Just wanted to point out a typo.
