Please detail any 5.7.1 upgrade issues here

Nice job on the speed up guys. ~1 second end to end. Now, you could make it extra speedy if you tried. But this is no longer painful to browse.

This is the only thread that shows me those top-line errors that everyone is talking about though.

The top line errors are becoming super annoying. Half the time you click on notification it just craps itself.

As for performance, page loads are still taking over 1s, but it doesn't look to be explicit database accesses any more. Though your jQuery stuff may still be trying to read the databases. Queries at least seems asynchronous now.

Like Talon said, I sometimes see the following. But it's not all the time for me. Pretty funny that it appeared while browsing this thread though.

This is an extremely minor complaint, but all the posts look new and bare, because the page count that was present before has gone. I know that the number of posts is there, but is there any way of getting the page list below? There were clickable links to 1,2,3,....344 etc.

Not sure if itll work for everyone but I disabled ipv6 after struggling with slow browsers (they are all chromium based now so didnt seem to matter much which one I used but am now on Opera) after googling the issue. Might be subjective but seems the page is working a little better now...

It's almost like vBulletin was designed to be ran on a bay of SSDs and we are on a floppy. It just 'feels' slow.

Maybe we should migrate off of the vBulletin software to something else?

For me, I come here, open a thread, click on the last page number to go to the end of the thread, nothing happens, click it a few more times, nothing happens, then give up and go to another site.

On Desktop it'll say "Working" in a yellowish box at the top of the window to let you know it's thinking about it. Hopefully mobile has something similar going on.

I dunno it's been both good and bad lately as far as posting speed goes. Used to I would notice the db must go into some sorta backup around 4pm CST where the entire site wouldn't respond at all for 10min and if you happen to hit submit during that window you were in for a looong wait. Also it seems channels with sub channels have the most problems updating the main page that you have unreads. I've had plenty of times where it would show Off-Topic was all read, go in anyway and see 2 or 3 threads with new posts.

I do believe It's running on both newer and faster hardware as part of the upgrade.

I kind of wonder what resources this thing uses... It just feels sluggish..

VB5 has been... not as impressive as hoped. It seems to just be just that... sluggish.
