So far I've only gotten notifications on when someone quotes me. As for rep, isn't that what the orange bars are? Every post has a like button now, gone back and liked some of the music you posted, did you get notification for those? Also thread starters get to add tags but no one has used them yet. Could make things easier to search.

nope, not for quoting. But hey, do you add now to ones rep by liking the post itself? Interesting, haven't thought about that. And no, i didn't get a notification about your likes, although THAT would actually make sense. And yes, i saw the tags, not sure what's the point of adding them is though.

The spam detection filter seems annoyingly over sensitive. I guess I make too many edits after I post or something because my replies keep getting flagged as potential spam. For example, I realized in a post in the Ryzen 5000/ 7000 thread that I put 4x32GB when I meant to put 4x16GB, so I edited the post and it now is "unapproved" again.

This looks terrible. Multiple font styles and sizes on mobile, slow to load, clicking on the last post button is a hit or miss depending on where your thumb touched. The buttons are too big for posting or uploading attachments.

My OCD is going wild everytime I look at this POS. Probably will take another break from R3D just to avoid using this new interface.

Default VB themes are well...defaults. I'm trying to make a custom theme, Shadow of MidnightRage (beta), but it's a work in progress and has it's own readability issues as I've never done this before. Hopefully once I get through customizing and refining that one theme, I can make some others. Alternatively, we may look at maybe getting some 3rd party themes that could work for us.

I see Silent-Runner is using the tags on new posts, hopefully that will make searching topics easier. Also it seems the rep meter is one pip per like? His two likes of my Webb telescope links filled 1/3 of the bar alone. Also Off-Topic's latest thread rep seems to be working again or maybe only Silent gets to update that.

If you post a link straight into the post editor, it should be clickable after you submit your post. If you want to embed a link into text, do the following:

1. Copy the link.
2. Type out your text.
3. Highlight your text.
4. Click the chain icon in the post editor.
5. Paste your link into the URL field.
6. Click OK.

In addition, if you copy text with an embedded link, the formatting should carry over to the post editor when you paste it.

As for post deletion, were you able to delete replies before, or just topics that you created?

posting, replying takes...ages... (often, not always, but most of the time) sometimes you get an error message but the post actually went through. Very strange behaviour and to be honest, it really gets old fast.

I see that too, regardless of browser. I’m also unable to post from time to time. No errors, just never gets past the “working” message.

It's not just that. I've seen the main page not hilite some channels that have unread posts but seeing how it's been too quiet I click in further and find unread threads!

Not possible. We can't and will not revert to the older version of vB. However we are looking at options, not ready to discuss what those may be.

Reverting back shouldn’t even be mentioned. Going from the old to the new was smoother than i thought it would be to be honest. There are just some bugs still needing to be worked out by someone who is really familiar with this version. It’ll get there eventually.

The new software is considerably slower than the previous version.We are mot entirely sure why that is just yet. But we are aware of it and it is not just you.
