I joined the team (ElanMorinTedronai) about a week ago. Just wondering about your method of selecting/notifying the winner: if all you have is a name they typed in, how will you contact them? And what stops someone from submitting work units with different names?

Winners are announced here, and it's up to the winners to come forward.

Usually we will make every attempt to email or private message the winners once they are selected. We also make an announcement of the winners member names.

1] you need to remain active, only those with points in the weekly column will qualify.. a zero '0' in the weekly column at anytime during the giveaway month will cause your name to be removed from contention for that month...a new round and another chance will start a few days after this round.

2]winners get posted here & need to contact me

just signed up today. Was folding for amdmb for a while, but I switched over an intel rig, and never go there anymore. I don't use an ati card (though one will be in my next upgrade), but I love this site, and although I'm a [H]ard|ocp just as often, evryone likes pulling for an underdog

the 8 prizes listed on the front page are part of the 'prize pool' from which the first round prizes will be drawn..4 maybe 5 prizes depending on donations, not all 8, will be drawn for on 4/15

even thought Jima will send only one prize for each address, if some guy has 10 computers and a different username in each one, this guy will have 10 times the chance to win a prize...

otoh, i don't see this as such a bad thing...after all, team rage3d isn't giving a brand new car or something similar (yet )... the prizes are great imo, but there isn't too much motivation for multiple usernames (well, except for the cheap bastards, lol)and even if there is, the guy will have 10 computers folding for Team Rage3D for at least 2 months, so I guess it's cool (WUs are king, that's what matters, give the prize to him, he deserved it )

i wonder if there's something else we could do to keep the interest high among the new members after the contest...maybe something like a monthly reunion in a strip club...
