Hi Gang,
Been awhile since I checked in. My old heat pump A/C died and temp in home office hit 108f, but the 2 folders in there kept running. I think the 2 in the garage might not be running, I just haven't gotten around to checking on them. Only 10 active now, but understandable with the summer heat and vacations. Hope everyone is doing well, hang in there!
Thanks for checking in Jima!
It's too bad you're having issues, but with this heat it's not surprising. On my side a storm caused a power outage a few days ago but since I was out of town, I was only able to restart my rig today.

I'm throttling down guys. Summer is coming and its not friendly during the day to run it. May see some pokes and prods at night when its cooled off though and I can keep the windows open.

It's quite a humble day when I pass 1920x1080i-How???. I remember when I first started folding many many years ago, he was a legend. So seeing him move behind me, makes me remember those days and how far we have come since then.

The Ides of March indeed, I'm glad to hear it was your psu going flakey.
I lost power last week some contacts burned out where the smart meter interfaces with the house. Once that was taken care of my Win 11 install really went sideways after the security update fun. sigh
Yea. so far thats what it seems like it was. Haven't had a crash like that since the PSU got replaced. Even got my Vega64 running a bit higher on clocks again. Back up to 1750-1780Mhz on the core and 1025Mhz on the HBM2.

I also noticed that Jimby was true to his word and stopped his clients yesterday. Thank you for your contribution to the project and I hope to see you submit a few WUs once in a while in the future!
What a difference going from a 6600xt to a rx 7900 xtx Still dialing things in I noticed that the AMD drivers are overclocking my already boosted clock speed of 2678 to 2990 ,Crazy default setting! I limited it to the normal boost speed in the cp and the junction temp dropped to 66c while folding. I've been working on a bios profile using the Asus overclock wizard in the bios by limiting the cpu to 3.7gz it allows for decent temps and makes folding on the cpu possible as well. Ryzen Master shows several power settings drop from red to yellow if I further limit is to 3.6 max by selecting office use instead of gaming all power settings stay in green. Strangely it allows to the 7900 to only use 230 w compared to 289 with only a slight drop in ppd.

Thanks, but I think that position will be temporary. I've been thinking about retiring from Folding. The cost of GPUs are just plain stupid now, rather not wear them out and have to suddenly pay an arm and a leg for another. Thinking the end of Feb will be the time for it.
I'm sorry to hear this but this is understandable. Your contribution to the team and the project will be dearly missed! But for now I'll enjoy seeing your 10 million+ ppd.

I want everyone to know that I appreciate this. My son was diagnosed with Epilepsy two years ago at 14. It's been a struggle, but we all need help with whichever health issue we have so seeing this type of help is appreciated!
Lost my dad this past year to heart disease as well so this is personal!
I'm very sorry to hear this Maliki2. I hope your son's epilepsy is under control and can be cured one day!
