A large part of me wishes that there were no bonus points. It adds extra stress to something that shouldn't be stressful, and I think if my system were middle-grade or less, I would be discouraged from folding altogether.
It probably does encourage higher-end hardware sales, which I like.

My PPD just got killed because it was unable to upload results for at least 12 hours. So much for the rapid return bonus...

My system already slows down once the monitor goes to sleep, that adds 15-30 seconds to my tpf.
Once I can afford to upgrade I'll definitely do so. The new budget cpu's from AMD look enticing, the 3100/3300X for example. I just finished looking at the Phoronix benchmarks on them. I'd happily re-enable folding on those.

Interesting - since your post I've found that any credit earned by my CPU is a wash.
A few times I've watched the GPU fold with idle CPU, and when the CPU gets a work unit, thee TPF does increase on the GPU by about 10%. Whatever credit estimate the CPU has, seems to get subtracted from the GPU estimate (proportional to how % complete the processing is).
My system is still burning through with very little involuntary idle time.
Are you looking to upgrade your system? I seriously considered getting all of your equipment at the time it came out (because AMD fanboi) but decided to wait because my Core i7 920/Radeon 7970 was still doing very well with games at 1080p.

Seven GPU wu's in the last 60 hours. Yeah the FuryX should be able to fold anything Vega does just a bit slower. Oddly enough with the new core 22 units the more atoms the better. A project with 400k atoms will complete 2 1/2 hours faster than one with 28k lol
@Flyordie I keep forgetting FAH doesn't benefit from overclocking the memory unless something has changed recently that I'm unaware of.

Really? For CPU and GPU?
These are the GPU work units I've had since I started my spreadsheet Tuesday.

I've been lucky to get 3 wu's per day over the last 2 days. Today is off to another stellar start 7 hours idling so far. Adding and removing the advanced flag has had zero impact during this time. Atleast I got 4 wu's 3 days ago.

So for about three days, the only time my PC is not folding is when I've manually paused it (or after a crash). Getting a constant stream of CPU WUs, and near-constant GPU WUs. The most attempts I've seen before download is four.
Those of you having issues with advanced projects - it might be feasible to turn off the advanced key and get more PPD 4 R3D!

I will say that it does look better, but that's the exception, not the rule. Usually the EOC score is higher. Crazy stuff going on. Almost as crazy as our economy flatlining to unsuccessfully slow the virus.

I'm just a regular guy like all of you, and I get all my information from all the same public resources. Sorry but I can't do anything about missing points, server problems, or any of that stuff.
After I updated my laptop's drivers, it's been cruising along at 350k PPD but my daily average is 220k?Also my desktop is sporadically producing 40 - 90k GPU WUs and 2k - 30k CPU WUs?
1.2M PPD if I let it run continuously?
I should be averaging about 800k PPD. I just had a big 200k point upload success between the two computers 90 minutes before the next "run" and I got a whopping 0 for that segment.
Originally posted by EXTREME Overclocking Home PageIt looks like the [email protected] servers have been getting hit pretty hard these past couple days. Rest assured, any WUs you send back to the servers are safe and will get processed eventually, just please be patient! The [email protected] team has been diligently bringing more servers online, but I think there are so many idle clients out there it still far exceeds all the new capacity.
With that being said, however, I could swear that I should have more points in the official [email protected] stats too. Maybe the credit is simply getting lost.

Same here. Sunday night I left it on all night. When I got to it at 8AM, I had a tally of zero points for the day. Much different story today.

I've giving up folding on my laptop.
Other programs were starting to be extremely slow and WU would crap out half of the time when restarting folding after pausing it.
For now, I'll still keep the 2400G folding.

When I first started up my 1060/i7 laptop to fold, the first few WUs were like that.
My desktop has had several crashes since starting this (very frustrating - I've narrowed it down to the GPU needs to be taken apart and put back together again, properly... by a professional) and occasionally after resuming a WU it was working on it the results will get rejected.
Haven't seen that message in a while, though.

No wu's here in 10 hours. looks like I might as well boot to linux for a bit. Do some updating and see if I can install the fah client.
@android1 Yep we were looking at the same thread.
@Flyordie I spent a couple hours in the logs listing all my completed and failed gpu wu's lowest consistent failure was 165k.
Half tempted to roll back to a 19.x driver see if that makes a difference.Last edited by DarkFoss; Mar 24, 2020, 06:08 AM.

Yea, GPUs with less than 8GB of DRAM are having major issues with the big CV19 WUs. They are over 170,000 atoms in most cases.

Haven't seen a single WU pass through, granted I'm not babysitting so may have missed some.
edit: sig stats show 54 today, so yeah. Pretty dry. I'll check my Ryzen box when I get home from work.

I think my system crunched six WU all day. It's been really dry.

Thankfully I'm not seeing any errors on any of the cards, just not get WUs consistantly at all, even killing [email protected] in task manger & restarting. It will get better soon I'm sure.
