I do not understand how you are making 0.004 BTC / day for a week. We have same cards and technically I have at least 0.5 cards more than you. I also have them overclocked to +85 / +400.

And yes, today, I have already done 0.0028 BTC and it is only 4 AM. Normally, around this time I have only 0.0018 BTC. If this continues till end of the year then I will make my money back by November.

I think it's being overstated because of the last 2.5 days of Lyra2; outside of that it's been 0.0030 at best

So bunch of photos here. First is of the workstation upstairs with XFX liquid cooled card. This one is used for games when not mining. Currently playing around with overclocks and power consumption tuning.



Since converting to asus rog vega 64. How the miner looks now. Stability issues seem to be solved at this point. Last photo is of current power consumption which is down about 200 watts from the 1080ti setup.

Judging by corsair link's figures it is accurate to within +/- 10% which isn't bad for some cheap $15 device.

There are some other EVGA blacks up on preorder for same price and quite a few other models in the 849$ range. Pricing has definitely come down and the EVGA SC is a great card IMO.

Pricing on Vega has come down too. Samsung equipped powercolor 64 cards can be had for $619 before MIR and far cry included right now on newegg.

This mining thing has become like a woman on a period. One day I am doing 0.0026 BTC the other day 0.0039. I mean I don’t mind but I would rather do 0.0039 BTC per day than 0.0026. Still better than doing 0.0018 BTC like in March though so I am not complaining.

Seems this month I would make about 0.0815 BTC from 6th to 6th which tbh is pretty damn good. If things keep up like this then should be about 1 BTC by end of the year.

To me it would seem it's better to set up a good basic rig then just not put any more money into it other than maintenance.

That all depends on what the market does and how long someone holds an asset.

I'm a small time guy. I'm just using the mining as a way to pay back some of the upgrades that I want to make.

I was already going to do a 1080ti setup. Now I have a 1080ti SLI that I get to play with and I already paid back about 1/2 of one card in my spare time.

I'm already going to be spending the money. Why not get some money back out of it once I spend the money.

Same. By tomorrow it would be another month and I would have made about 0.09 BTC or 900 bucks in May (6th to 6th). This means that I would have paid off 3/8 cards in under 4 months of mining.

Right and if you hold your BTC and it goes up 25% when you sell it then you've done even better.

I would hold onto it until it gets over 12,000 minimum before selling.

0.6 BTC and lower. $15500 or more.
0.61 BTC uptil 0.99 BTC. $12500 or more.
1 BTC or higher. $10800 or more.

Anything else I am holding.

Right now I would be about 0.29 BTC after 4 months.
