So, I was looking around at Awesome Miner and I went to the Main->Options-> Profit Switching area.
Ticked all the NiceHash, Zpool, AHashPool, Hash Refinery, and Zeropool and put my Bitcoin address in them. Changed the profit switching on to 1 minute interval and 1% switch threshold and freaking PRESTO!
$4.88 per card per day.
BOOYA!!!

Download Awesome Miner from here:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/download.aspx
Download the EWBF's zec-miner without developer's fee from here:
Win64: https://mega.nz/#!Q34kQLyb!vekU930d5...p1mZae0IhncRmg
Linux 64: https://mega.nz/#!4iIClQ4D!tbff8HgrT...OALHnjsaW7NlWU
Install Awesome Miner.
When you start it up you will see the Add New Miner pop up box.
Click Next.
Select the 'Managed Profit Miner' from the Select Miner Type page.
Click Next.
Name it what ever you want. Set the Miner host to Local. Set the GPU.
Click Next
Click Finish
It will look like this.
Now, unzip the EWBF's zec-miner without developer's fee. I put it in my Awesome Miner program folder but you can put that anywhere.
Then go back to Awesome Miner.
Click on the "Tools" tab at the top.
You'll see Log File, API Report, Antminer, GPU Settings, Benchmark, Upload Custom Software, and Performance History. Click the Upload Custom Software.
Browse to the folder where you unzipped the EWBF's. Click Upload.
It will ask you "Do you want to set the mining software path for all selected miners?" Click "Yes"
It will send you to the remote browser screen. Hit the "+" next to zec-miner-nofee-win0.3.4b. Then click the minser.nofee.exe and press "OK".
It will ask, "Do you want to set the mining software path for these related profit witching profiles? nVidia GPU". Click Yes.
Then highlight "EWBF Cuda Zcash Miner" and press OK.
That changes the miner from the 5% fee miner to the 0% fee miner.
Then click the "Close" button.
Now for the easy part. Setting up where your pools are and where you send cash to.
Click on the "Main" tab at the top of the program.
Under it you'll see "New Miner" (that is the new miner set up wizard), "New Pool" and "Options".. Click Options.
A popup will come up.
Look down the left side about in the middle to the Profit Switching option. Click it.
Now would be a good time to copy your bitcoin address.
If you put a check mark next to NiceHash you can paste your bitcoin address next to it.
Do the same for Zpool, AHashPool, Hash Refinery, and Zergpool. Those are the free pools.
Now, there is a option that says Switching Interval on that page. Change it to 1 minute. Put a tick mark next to the Profit Switch Threshold and set it to 1%. Then click OK
STARTING.
All you have to do now is click the "Main" tab. Click the "Miners" tab. Click the "Start" button.
The money made from each pool goes to you bitcoin address.
If you click the 'appearance tab' and set "Dashboad view" to Dark Tables" then click on the Dashboard you get something that looks like this.
It's a great little program....

I set everything like you said and gave my Nicehash wallet address. I am wondering if I should just give it my real wallet address that I will be using to cash out. Let's run this for a day and see what's up. What I do see is that Nicehash was reporting that I will make about 20-22 a day. This one is saying I will make 28 a day. This is on main rig. Going to set it up on my gaming rig as well.
Thanks andino. You are the first guy on the internet who understands what an idiot proof way to explain things is. I didn't even see videos, just followed your instructions.
Already repped you!!!
Only question is how often will it put my mined BTC in the wallet?

Ok... so... estimated profit so far...
(yes, I am dabbling in mining)... For the entire month of February on my single RX Vega64.. I made $121.17*. Eh. My power costs are $0.00 as I use solar power for my PC and the panels have already paid for themselves as they generate more than what I use so the rest is sold back to my power company. Win-Win in my book.
Although, I believe the mining pool fee is 1.5%.* Which lobs that down to $120 (ish)Last edited by Flyordie; Mar 4, 2018, 02:38 AM.Be a pirate.

Btw awesome miner is a hoax. I mined with it for half a day (6 hours) almost and got 4 bucks. All the while it was showing I am going to make 30 bucks a day. Nicehash on the other hand would have generated about 5-6 bucks in those 6 hours. So turned it off and back to Nicehash.
Let me know if this thing actually works for you and I may give it another shot.
Also need some big zip ties for that dangling radiator lol. I just gave up at the end. Was too tired to fix it.

bitcoin.tax has a CSV import option and while it doesn't "just work" I was able to get a template file setup that does. Now I just export the blockchain csv and then copy/paste the cells I need into my template file. Export the template to a csv formatted the way the website wants. And it seems to work. Shows USD value for the payouts on the website and I am able to export a file from there too.
Handles trading - haven't tried that yet since I'm not wanting to pay short term capital gains this year. So may not trade much if at all.

Old seems to be selected by default. And I was reading that perhaps DTSM is worth it... really not sure - which ones are you running?
Also, under the EWBF's zec-miner software (or any of the others really) - are you running most of the algorithms or are you only sticking with the top profitable ones like Equihash, Lyra2Rev2, Neoscrypt ect...? (EDIT: It looks like this EWBF zec-miner is only using Equihash....)
I'm also wondering if I should mine the Nicehash Europe pool or USA... I'm thinking Europe just to try and avoid the tax man

Not sure if I'm making more yet, I just started it about 10 minutes ago - but the output so far says a bit higher than what I had with Nicehash; we'll see what the actual amount ends up as - I want to give it a full day or two
And yeah I used a BTC address (not my Nicehash address) for all the selected pools. Go to www.coinbase.com/addresses and create a new address, and then name the label 'AwesomeMiner' just so you know which one it is.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

I like awesome miner; good stuff. I figured out how to add different algorithms and different pools but it's sticking with Zpool Equihash all the time anyway because it's the highest now. I'm calculated to make about $4-5 more per day now vs Nicehash only - sweet - but I'll see how it all looks come payouts
Edit: I'm reading some crap about Zpool though; I might not stay with it; sounds like 20% less than reportedLast edited by curio; Mar 4, 2018, 02:55 PM.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

I've mined on zpool before mainly XVG. Read a lot of accusations about that place. Haven't really been back mainly because zpool is an algo switching pool. Which isn't really for me.
Looked at nowinstock today out of curiosity. It amazes me how much people are willing to pay for a STRIX. I know they are good cards however I have a hard time buying them being worth $250 more than a Evga SC2 black edition. The latter comes up a lot for $849 preorder on Amazon and occasionally in stock at newegg. The STRIX is always a $1100+ rape. No way would I pay that.

For some reason since I installed the 8 cards, my NEOSCRYPT keeps hanging up with mining stopping intermittently. I just disabled that damn thing now and am running only Lyra2Rev, Equihash and Nist5 for now.
This is the first test of this rig as I am out of home for the next 4 days. If this crap doesn't do 120 bucks during this time, I will throw it out of the window...

I don't know what is going on there. It was really really close to putting in the amounts that it said it was generating into my nicehash wallet. The place to look is the "Balance" tab. It'll tell you your unpaid balance and payouts.
I ran for 3 hours tonight. The payout is at $4.70 per day. Roughly $0.20 per hour. I have $0.60 in my balance for AHashPool. So it's pretty close to right. Well, at least, so far.

I'm at $.98 in unpaid balance there. Right at $.196 per hour or $4.70 per day. My dashboard says that it is at $4.97 per day right now. That number has been on the rise the last hour though.

Probably won't end up using that much, but if you have the drive space might as well give yourself the headroomLast edited by curio; Mar 5, 2018, 06:49 AM.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

I'm back to Nicehash btw; gave Awesome miner a shot for a day and the only way I could get a higher return was with Zpool; which seems shady. Doing the Nicehash pool through Awesome miner did not net any more gains for me; and neither did Mining Pool Hub. It wouldn't even switch to the other pools even though I had them selected.
I tried both EWBF and DSTM miner software too and even the old Excavator, none of them produced any higher than the Nicehash program. It was a good experience though, glad I did it - and thanks again andino for the instructions; that was a life saver.Last edited by curio; Mar 5, 2018, 06:48 AM.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

I also am on Nicehash. I think the problem is with my drivers. I need to reinstall the damn drivers and re-run the benches etc. Will do it over the weekend. Thankfully miner is working and has worked all day without interruptions.
Earn rate has really tanked and I am worried about this whole thing now.

If you're at that spot now then you had incorrect expectations from the start
For me, this has always been about the long game with patience being a requirement; and I'm still on the same pace I expected from the beginning - should be free and clear by end of Jan 2019Love take me down to the streets - Wings

Better sell now before it's too late.
My approach (holding) is riskier than selling for BTC. I think I'm going to just write this whole thing off and make my expectations a zero. I just flat don't want to sell. I'm a bit of a hoarder now. Not to say I'd never sell but it's going to have to easily double after taxes what I put into this before I'm tempted. Not sinking another dime into it - enjoying it for what it is.
Expect nothing and you will have everything.
EDIT:
Short term investing: selling for BTC, converting to Fiat
Long term investing: selling for BTC, holding. mining alts, holding.Last edited by Riptide; Mar 5, 2018, 04:52 PM.
