Can’t you buy that from Amazon or ask EVGA to ship you one for free?

Honestly there isn’t much heat. Only two of my cards hit 60 C. Others don’t hit more than 50 C. My room has good ventilation and my air con runs at 25 C. Ambient is 18-20 C at night and about 22-25 C in the morning. I rarely see the compressor of my A/C turn on. Of course all of this will change in summer.
Ordered one MSI Duke from Amazon to make it 8 total cards for mining.

Of my five 1080ti. The two Duke run the warmest. 64c and 63c. 100% tdp and +50 core. Fans at 80%. I'm a little disappointed. The coolers are stupid huge on these cards and yet the little evga SC black edition runs cooler.
The msi gaming and gigabyte aorus are both in the low 50s. Ambient temp around 68-70 Fahrenheit.Last edited by Riptide; Feb 16, 2018, 08:04 PM.

Btw today it will be a full week of mining and I would have made about 220-230 in a week (about 30 a day w/ 6.5 cards mining). I think it is not too bad to be honest. I make about 0.0031 BTC a day and after fees it is about 0.003 BTC.

Yeah, I'm still looking for cards. Not that hard though. And I sure as **** don't want to pay top dollar for them. $1,000.00+ for a 1 year old card is a little pricey for my blood. I could do $900 for a FTW Hybrid if I could find them in stock.
Just my luck everyone want's the hybrids for the mining. I enjoy gaming with them not making rocket sounds under my desk. The mining would be secondary for me.

Personally I hope that Nvidia sets up Volta/Ampere as gaming only cards and blocks or at worse severely hurts the mining performance of the cards. Sucks seeing gamers not being able to get their hands on these cards.
ROI of 8 months on these cards is a little on the high side I think. Better off buying the currency directly instead of mining it. Very curious to see how all these miners handle the summer heat in a few months.Last edited by Dave; Feb 17, 2018, 03:01 AM.

If a gamer can't find a 1080ti they don't know what they're doing or they are too lazy to put any effort in.
I bought three last week and all it took was watching nowinstock. On one of them the CC company declined the charge, I had to call it in, and it still went through.
Were they over msrp yep were they 1000$+ nope not even close.

Mine is definitely not silent. It's less now with the titans out of there. All my cards are air cooled with fans spun 67-80% on the GPU. So yah it's gonna make some noise.
If ML120 weren't so expensive I'd have got them. Instead I'm using some cheaper 53cfm fans I got off Amazon in a 5 pack.
Wish I had five Aorus extreme. I can't overclock mine much but it runs super cool and is the quietest of the bunch.
In order of favorite to least favorite:
Evga SC2 hybrid
Aorus Xtreme
Msi gaming 11g
Evga SC black
Msi Duke
One thing neat about the SC black is how small it is. It isn't the coolest card in the bunch but for it's clocks and physical size it does well.Last edited by Riptide; Feb 17, 2018, 08:58 PM.

I saw the fans you ordered. I didn't like their look
So I ordered this now...
5 of Corsair Air Series SP 120 LED White High Static Pressure Fan Cooling - twin pack
I already have 5 of these fans that came w/ the MSI cards. The 6th MSI card came w/ a regular corsair fan that sucks. So with my incoming EVGA FTW Hybrid I plan to do push / pull on all 7 cards.
I also ordered another of this
SilverStone PWM Fan Hub System Cables, Black (CPF04)
and
Corsair Hydro Series HG10 N970 Edition Cooling Fan to replace the squeaky blower fan.
I think by end of this month, I will have a rig done that looks more civilized and is ****ing quiet.
I also ordered proper screws for that RAD installation, just fyi if gays want to know..
Nylon 6/6 Pan Head Machine Screw, Black, #2 Phillips Drive, #6-32 Thread Size, 1-1/8" Length, Fully Threaded, USA Made (Pack of 100)

I'm out of pci-e slots on this x370 motherboard. The only way to add another GPU would be with an m.2 riser.
I've also got two 1080ti right now pulling about 500w off my 850w psu. I could squeeze another 150-180w out of it so there is room for one more card.
Tempting but a third 1080ti would have to scale back on TDP to work or I'd be over the limit on wattage.

Well I'm fully back in business - sans 1 card I'm sending back for repair because of a noisy blower fan. So far I'm crunching about $32-$40 per day now on 7 Ti's
The Wi-Fi adapter I had been using was giving me all sorts of fits and was preventing me from using more than 3 cards; basically if I added a 4th card the Wi-Fi adapter would start going in and out of signal, but 3 cards or less had a perfect connection to my AC router. I narrowed that down to either EMI interference from all the cards running or problems through the PCI bus. Either way I figured Wi-Fi is now out of the pictures, so I got one of those powerline adapters so I could connect an ethernet cable and run internet through my electrical lines in the house; and it's running silky smooth now.
I also returned my RAM because it was unstable and got a 16GB kit that ran perfect out of the box.
So far at 100% TDP and no additional overclocking outside of what the Sea Hawk's already clock at around 1700+MHz, my hottest card is running at 57c; with the lowest running at only 40c (I've got two fans pumping in cold air from open windows directly on the rig, but they're not oscillating fans so the card in the middle is getting the least air and is the one running the hottest)
Since I've spent weeks dicking with this thing and replacing parts, I'm just glad I got it working and stable because I almost gave up on this. I'm going to run it at these nominal speeds for a week and see if it stays stable and if it does, then I'll crank it up a bit more because I do have the temp headroom this time of year.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

This spring/summer when temps climb I'll end up having to reconfigure everything for 60-70% TDP to keep heat down and probably won't be able to slow the fans down either. Hash will suffer. Nothing I can do about it unless I want the air conditioner on constantly which I don't.
