It's definitely interesting to see where it will finally stabilize. It's been looking bad for a long time. If someone looks at the performance of the past month, or at least from the crazy $19k spike...it's been steadily downhill ever since. I don't think digital currency is going away permanently, but it certainly doesn't look good for its immediate future.

Meh. Bitcoins been through big crashes before. Might be better if eth takes over as the base currency anyway sooner or later.
Not sure why anyone expected the super high profits in December to continue? Need to do yer homework.

The value of Bitcoin is fun to speculate and watch. We aren't trying to be downers here or drive anyone away from mining. We'd be talking about it just the same if it were back up at $19k.

Tomorrow I get my electric bill and the first of two CPA consultations. Should be interesting.
I've got a spreadsheet together now and am caught up on all my transaction data for the year so far. I found a place to download all the transactions from the blockchain in a CSV. It took me two hours to catch up. I was able to calculate the USD value for every one so far. Now just need to keep caught up and it won't be that big of a deal.
Also on a pool that pays out about 8 times a day vs. 12 which helps.

I don't get mad at anyone here. I was talking about bitcoin price. However, somehow Nicehash keeps telling me I am making 5 bucks a day. Also, I see that usually I was mining about 0.0003 per night, last night I mined about 0.00045. That means difficulty must have changed.
Riptide. Is that the Vedda 6 frame or 8 frame. Looks very small for a 8 frame. Also, why no fan grill? I am now worried about sticking AIOs on that thing as the spacing seems very small. Also Riptide, add more GPUs man.
Which pool are you mining with Rip? Can you direct me to links you used to set it up.

It's a six GPU frame. I'd love to add another GPU however the PSU is a 1200w and I'm pulling a steady 875w. Even a GTX 1060 would be pushing it. And yah it's been in cart. Lol I chickened out though. Maybe if prices go down and stock gets back in.
I'll pick up a fan kit from Amazon next week.
Currently I'm still mining LUX on the bsod pool. I'm using the ccminer spmod1 client mining to a LUX wallet.
Oh and Curio should put up a photo. 😀

So basically the cards paid for their own cooling upgrade. EKWB really pissed me off with that pump failing on the Phoenix radiator combo. I think it convinced me to not go full water for now. If their idea is to get more people into more advanced watercooling beyond basic AIO coolers - they really need to work on product quality control. I bought 16 Corsair ML120 fans that I was going to use on my mining rig with the 7 sea hawk and 1 EVGA 1080 Ti Hybrid cards that I had (push/pull config). I'll likely mount 2 ML120 fans to each H55 and also mount 6 ML120's to my Thermaltake 360mm radiator (mounted as front intake). I'll also use one of the ML120's as a side intake fan blowing directly on the GPU's (has a fan filter so a static fan will help there).
I think once I get these G12's mounted on to the Titan Xp's I may continue to mine via Nicehash when I'm not gaming. That's assuming I can keep the cards silent. At this point I think I'll be using any small amount of cash that these cards generate from mining as play money. Having the cards pay for their own cooling upgrade is pretty awesome. Would be cool to have the cards pay for themselves ($2500).

I am not thinking about doing push pull. Dave is there even space for push/pull? I didn't order any fans. I was thinking that given the case is open air, push/pull won't do any wonders for me. I am also thinking about having them exhaust air towards the other side (out of the frame) which means that unlike the images, my fans would be on the inside facing the cards.
Wdyt?

I like the ML120 the cost is a bit high though. I picked up a 5 pack of these on Amazon this morning:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
PWM, 78CFM, and cheap. Don't care about noise. I'm 42 soon anyway so it's not like I'll be able to hear them.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin gets down to 5K before we get to the point where the slide stops. It sucks how it drags down all the alts right along with it.
Anyway I don't really care that much. The lower it goes the less the tax liability is for mining anyway. As long as it continues to break even or better with mining I'll continue it. To hold for future possible gains. The coin I'm mining now is down to $14 from a high well over $40. Keep mining, get a stack, and if that shoots back up (even if it takes a year) then it was worth it.
When Volta comes up for pre-order I'm getting my name on ONE. Will put the 1080ti upstairs down into the miner. If I don't have the power for it I'll cut TDP down. I'm not replacing all my 10 series miner cards with Volta. Especially if things continue to stay low price-wise on the crypto market.

That just looks cool as hell. Never thought I'd be seeing rigs like this even a year ago when mining was completely off my radar. Didn't even know it existed.

The heat output is insane. Had to back the power output to 90% (along with window open and fan); and will probably have to go lower come summer time.Love take me down to the streets - Wings

I just saw Curio's setup in all its glory last night. Now I can't help but feel like I want to work on setting up a rig for myself. Except, of course, that ****'s expensive."I'll admit it. I did try and **** her, she was married."

Curio some stupid questions.
1) Are the cards touching the aluminum bar? The one on their butt.
2) Which fans are you using?
3) Can I run this on 2 1000 Watts psu?
4) Are the radiators going to fall off?
5) What is your profitability right now?
6) Buttsechs?
7) what are you using to control the fans?
8) can you show cables from the bottom/side?
Looks great btw
