Still happens in a brand new vista64 install. Sigh

Temps are okay, my proc's oc is just a multiplier change w/ no voltage bumps, prime stable 10+ hours.

I've just ran the dx november update and played a 20 minute round with no crash, I'll test more after work and see if it was the fix for some reason.

On the bright side, Q3 arena works nicely with my similar system so there's hope.
Does it crash if you remove the OC? You don't mention it, but are your temps ok?

You know, what you can do is partition off 20 gig and temporarily install Vista x64 there and see how that works.

    Quake Wars crashing, hd3870

I've done all that I can think I've, and I'm just short of getting rid of vista 32 bit and installing vista 64 bit and hoping somewhere in the process my problem is fixed.

What seems to be happening is randomly while playing Enemy Territory Quake Wars, the came will crash, and vista will report a hardward video error, which I guess is the os version of gpu recovery.

Here's what I've done thus far, tried different drivers, 8.9-8.12, updated x-fi drivers to the latest, updated vista with all the latest updates, deleted game config files, reinstalled the game. All with the same results.

If you need any more info let me know and I'll get it, I just don't know what to do, and I absolutely do not want to reinstall my os.

Specs in system specs to the left or in my sig below.
