    Help please?

    Hello

I have this issue where my desktop resolution is default 1280 x 1024.

If I play a game, then when I've had enough of the game, exit the game, my desktop resolution is changed to 1024 x 768? I cannot change back in system properties as it says you must restart your system for the changes to take affect.

Anyone seen or fixed this issue before?

It was first happening with 8.11 so I went back to 8.9 (as heard this was a stable driver) still happens

Dare not go to 8.12 as lots of issues by sounds of things.

BTW sig is wrong, have my X1900XTX in at the moment.

        XP or Vista?

And, are you using the CCC or a modded driver with the old Control Panel?

Tech support or drivers... hmmm, could go either way I guess. Flip a coin, tech support it is!

In the Advanced Display Properties panel, General tab, you can select how to change the resolution among:

                  - Restart the system before.
                  - Apply without restarting.
                  - Ask before.

In general you want the 2nd choice.

                    Hi guys,

                    Dont have multiple displays connected.

Tried an older cat 8.3 still the same, uninstalled with driver cleaner etc installed cat 8.12 still the same.

Happens on Lockon, BF2 and COD4 (3D back to desktop 2D)

Time to give up I think and accept it.
