    New Build-Ideas on parts

    Hi all,

I already have an A8-5500 APU as my secondary rig and have been more than impressed with it for the basic things I run on it.

Now it is time to replace my aging main rig that has all my work related stuff on it.

I would like to go the 7850K route and would like some suggestions on which mobo, ram, SSD and heatsink/fan.

I won't be overclocking much beside dabelling a little and good mobo sound is important.

Can you give me some suggestions for such a build as I also hope the FM2+ mobo will see at least one more APU upgrade down the track!!!

Looking at my system #2, I can vouch for the MSI motherboard (except for my DVI port issue). The sound is amazing, the Analog and HDMI video are good, the AMD memory profile worked perfectly, and it supports AMD RamDisk. I haven't tried any OCing.
On the down side, setting it to win8 mode doesn't work out too well, however it does restart real quick and I'm not even using the fast start options.

Very satisfied with the build I did last month, discussed in this thread.
Biggest thing to know (if you haven't read this already) is get the fastest memory you can, 2133 or 2400.
