Its about time someone started getting developers interested in serious development for these integrated system. So many users with game capable IGP compared to dedicated GPUs, it seems kind of stupid for developers not to target these platforms. Especially when developers arn't even inventing gameplay that couldn't technically exist on lower end platforms, albeit with less graphical detail.

The other thing I would like to see is a development platform built around a dedicated GPU for graphics and doing GPU compute tasks on an APU.

If you think this is the first APU development platform sent out, you're mistaken. AMD have been sending notebook mules to developers for a while now, since the first one in fact.

I think the programming for APU + dGPU in the manner you describe isn't happening because of the system architecture latencies, as we get closer to full HSA devices then we'll see that become possible. I don't think it's far away at all, perhaps even this year.
