The mobo box was not sealed, nor was there any tape on it or evidence that there ever was any. Seems odd. My dumbass should have checked to make sure all the accessories are up underneath it, for all I know there may be a seal around the motherboard you have to break to get "into" it.

Pretty sure I've never seen a "sealed" MB box. Hell, I haven't even seen a MB in a sealed static bag in ages. That's just the way they ship them nowadays (or at least that's how ASUS does it). Definitely check to make sure everything's in there, and give the board a good once-over. At least you don't gotta worry about bent socket pins on AM4, right?

I have no idea what I'm doing since it's been 11 years since I've had an AMD rig so ima say the bios sucks and is confusing to navigate but the hardware seems solid.

Won't know for sho until I've played with it more.

Seems ok so far. Idles around 37C. My room is pretty warm in the summer though (80F+ during the day). I'll have to see how it does under loads.

Bastards... Picked this up to go with the 3700x. Was able to one click my memory from 3000 to 3200 and held at CL16 (cl15 stock @ 3000) with it though. Will work on overclocks tomorrow. Otherwise right now Cinebench R20 scored 4800. With EVGA 240 cooler idles 37c load 69c

The Asus Maximus XI Formula that I got had a seal on the box. There wasn't a static bag. I haven't seen one of those on a MB in years.

Bought a 3900x from Best Buy, upgrading from a 2600x. Will continue to use my asrock Taichi x470 motherboard. Will be cooled using my Corsair h150 360mm aio.

3900x is total overkill for my needs (only gaming), but decided to treat myself after a promotion at work . The gains in minimum FPS are pretty impressive, even at 1440p. I game at 3440x1440 100hz

Probably going to return the Aorus Elite for the Strix, or Aorus Ultra. Theres a few things I should've paid more attention to the board that I'm kinda annoyed at. But I'm sure it's the C6H just had me spoiled.

-no on-board LED for trouble codes.
-4 pin power delivery instead of 6 pin
-sounds silly, but the RGB on this for a $200 board is lackluster at best. Why it's even on here I have no idea, it's so dainty.
-biggest thing I thought it had the Realtek ALC 1220 chip, it doesn't. I has the ALC 1200. For a $200 board, that's unacceptable.
-1x 16x PCIe 4.0 lane, if I ever do go a 2nd card, the 2nd PCIe is only 4x and handled soley by the chipset.

I'm starting to see how expensive these 570 boards are. Kinda sucks. I paid less for my C6H 2 years ago. They just lack alot of basic features for this price point, and add alot of "fluff".

I do like that Gigabyte already did 2 bios updates however. Way better than ASUS.

Is your CH6 not working for you, or do you just want more "new" stuff?

I needed another motherboard for the 1700x to go into the wifes rig. Her current rig doubles as the plex server with a 4690k. So I was going to make that a standalone server and build her a rig. So I needed another motherboard either way for the 1700x. The choice was buy an el cheapo b450 for the 1700, or just upgrade mine and keep the 1700x together with the CH6. While x570 does bring some features, I'm also losing some.

It's why I went with the Elite. Not a lot of extra fluff that I don't need and excellent VRM for the price point. Don't use RGB lighting. Don't use onboard audio. Don't do SLI. The trouble code readout would have been nice though.

What's this 4-pin power delivery you speak of? It's got one 8-pin power for CPU. Anything more is just overkill unless you're doing insane overclocking. One 8-pin connector can deliver 384 watts of power.

AMD really stepped up their game this go around if I'm lead to believe.

Currently have my Gskill Ripjaws V overclocked from 2666 Mhz 15-15-15-35 to 3200 running at 16-18-18-18-36. Def needs more tweaking and this is just a stop gap until I can get a 3600 Mhz kit. But I am pleasantly surprised :D

Sorry, I did mean the 8 pin. The difference between 8, and 12 is you get a more stable delivery for more stable overclocks. I may keep it I have 30 days to see how I feel about it. Don't really want to spend another $100 I may pick up a USB DAC or just throw in the SBZ I have. This setup would make a good upgrade for her in another 2 years when I bump again.

That's more a PSU or possibly cabling issue than lack of connectors.

Gotcha.

Been trying to see what users are experiencing with the CH6 and a Ryzen 3000 chip. See that there is a memory boot issue that affects some, but not all. Trying to piece together the best way to upgrade chipset software, bios, etc. to have a smooth experience.

To my knowledge it should work for most. However there is some CRAZY bios voltates pre-set for Ryzen 3000 that could be causing their issues.

Also any corsair product is dead on bios bootup with 7002. I had to grab my old ducky to even get into Bios.

Asus BIOS is such a joke, but that's not news to anyone.
