AMD AMD A10 5800K Launch Review

AMD launches their offensive against the Intel desktop platforms with the enthusiastically positioned second generation A-series APU. We've got a range topping A10-5800K and a new socket FM2 mobo for you, plus some comparisons against it's primary target - the Intel Core i3.

Excellent review! The price also surprised me. Kinda' disappointed in the video cards you can pare it to- only the 6000 series. No 7000 series, was hoping it'd pair with the 7670 but that isn't even available retail with no mention of it ever being available.

Would be nice setup for a budget gamer though.

A 7670 is a 6670.

Good review, CJ. It seems like a very compelling and nearly unbeatable product in its price range.

Thanks!

The A10 5700 has caught my eye, 65w is good. I would have like to see a comparison between Llano as well. Great critique at the end, well done review.

There are some nice motherboards out there except no ITX ones, yet, plus cpu is on sell at NewEgg, except the one I want A10 5700.

These APUs has business office written all around them and should sell extremely well. Of course home/school etc. I hope AMD can make enough of them and know how to promote them.
