Artifacting.

Why would I be getting artifacting (sky turning white / certain texture blocks flashing blue/white for a split second). In TERA, but not in any other game, or 3dMark11?

Any ideas? Does it cold, hot, short play, long play. Completely random, and pretty often.

No one else has this issue though . I'm RMAing the cards but I really don't want to deal with RMA. blehhhhhhhhhh this was a last resort post.

Does the same thing happen with CFX disabled? and how many CFX bridges are you using? I've had strange artifacts in games when using dual bridges, as only one is required. Probably not the issue, but its worth covering all bases before sending for RMA.

I get it too, man.

single 7970.. all ATI drivers.. RC11, 12.2, 12.3, 12.4 and the 8.97 betas

I also get hard locks when I play.. sometimes after 30 minutes.. sometimes after several hours.

Only thing that changed about my rig was going to the 7970 from my 6970.. I've formatted, re-loaded the OS, tried different drivers, played the game in a window, removed my cpu overclock (which has been stable for over a year) it's all the same.

Issues like this have finally pushed me over the edge and I ordered a GTX 680 last night from amazon.

My last 3 cards before this one were ATI cards, most purchased near launch.. and not a single one has given me even a fraction of the trouble of my 7970.
