Default Netflix Instant WONT stream anything in HD on my computer

I get HD streaming on my 360 juts fine. On the PS3 it bounces between 480 and 720 but on PC, it never ever goes over 480 for me. What gives?

Odd, my video quailty wasn't set to anything. I just set it to the highest one, as per your advice.

But still no change. Gonna try deleting all my cookies and trying again.

OK interesting. I obviously am not streaming HD either to my pc. I did as you and went to settings nothing is checked and set to best quality. I start a movie and there is a little box that says HD. On mouse over it shows not playing HD with a check mark in allow HD. Am I missing something cuz the quality is really blocky.

Well it looks like it was a buffering issue. I had to hit ctrl/alt/Lshift/s to change the buffering and now it will buffer for HD. Funny I have to do it almost every time though.

Thanks for the shortcut, I gotta try that out. With DeathKnight's help at least now it buffers for me in HD sometimes, but still crappy most of the time. I'll report back.

afaik netflix streaming qualiy is dynamic and based on connection speed and latency, so you may get better results at quieter internet times from the server. try early in the morning vs. at prime time.

on my Iconia Tab W500 , downgrading to silverlight 3.0 from silverlight 4.0 resolved the issue of stuttering/frame skipping while watching HD content
