FYI: The server is now offline.

The server rack is currently being disassembled for transport to my new home. You can probably expect it to be back up in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully bukkit and the plugins will be updated by then.

So Minecraft 1.2.5 is out!

Changes in 1.2.5:

Added shift clicking support in furnaces
Added method to easily acquire blocks you have selected in the world in Creative mode using the ‘pick block’ key
Made the Direct Connect dialog remember the last IP for the current session
Fixed issues detected certain links in chat
Fixed wild ocelots behaving like tamed cats
Fixed various chat crashes
Made cats less eager to sit on things
Made cats less patient
Fixed world generation failing under certain circumstances
Fixed issues turning off sound under certain circumstances
Removed all ghost entities under the command of Lord Herobrine
Fixed crash when pasting certain characters in chat
Fixed slash ‘/’ key not behaving correctly in certain environments
Fixed command matching being too greedy (for example: typing ‘/stophammertime’ no longer stops your server)
Fixed not being able to click coloured links
Fixed potential issue with village door detection (which could cause too many villagers)
Made using a stack of bowls on Mooshrooms not consume the whole stack of bowls
Made punching a TNT block with flint and steel in hand destroy and drop a TNT block (right-clicking will activate the TNT)

The exciting news is that since the Bukkit team is now working with Mojang, CraftBukkit 1.2.5 Recommended build is also out.

So hopefully we start seeing our favorite plugins updated.

There are 2 reasons why only regular Rage3d members can access the server:

1. I host the server as a courtesy as Rage3D and its members have provided me many lolz and information throughout the years. Members entering the server will know that everything was built from the community. It's kinda cool to see that Trunks0 built this, or Aviphysics built that. Not some unknown dude with a post or two.

2. The big reason, griefing. I hosted an open server for a while and it was a complete mess. Anons love to destroy s***, and love trying to use odd commands and exploits. Everyone here in a semi closed community has much better behavior, a bit better morals when it comes to not messing with peoples creations. To date, there has only been 2 griefing incidents, and 0 since the introduction of the public block check.

The only possible way I would let Anons in would be for them to be confined to a new world, and they would have no permissions in established worlds, other than looking around. Permissions would be granted over time based on their play stats.

Might not be a bad idea. But yeah, I can understand wanting to keep it local too. Especially when you're paying for the bandwidth.

Use the "ModifyWorld" plugin (it comes with PEX), you can remove building abilities as well as pretty much anything a player can normally do in-game (eat, use beds, open doors, chests, etc.. ) Apply this to a default guest group.

Just got out of sandbox testing, and it's good to go!

Server is running again! Server is public! Right now unknowns can use stargates and that's it, gotta figure out permissions for them. If you are a regular and can't build anything, let me know so I can add you to the new permission set.

Bad news is we lost a lot of plugins. There is now less than 15 plugins running, where before there was around 50. Bank accounts also got wiped during the iconomy upgrade. Good news is that the most important ones either still work of have replacements, so stargates still work, along with the chestshop, lockette, and a few others.

Another bad note, the original nether has been wiped. There was something in there causing a large amount of CPU load.

Glad the server is back. I've been missing Minecraft a lot, too. Going to jump on this weekend as well.

How many "worlds" are there now on the server? I remember there being as many as 3 when I stopped playing -- was getting confusing

There are 7 worlds, which I am pretty sure the latest world Pandora has the newest features, it was made in 1.1. Looks like I am going to open up Hyrule to the public, so feel free to kill anyone you see in there

New biome plus some other changes to world gen since 1.2.
