It's pretty cool. I just tried it about 5 minutes ago and it works wonderfully. Another welcome and awesome addition to Steam.

Yeah, if it wasn't for windows update doing the job perfectly, this would be a great feature. As it stands, it's pretty useless unless you're running an older version of windows.

Points for trying though, I guess.
