Modded .inf needed ofc for proper installation on GeForce users. Anyone feeling adventurous?

apparently they improve crysis framerate.

i installed them but havent done any gaming yet.

Installed them as well; no problems so far on my system

these drivers I like... they fix gpu utilization readings in eVGA Precision, and may reduce temps... also i may have noticed more working in the performance tab of CUDA-Z than with prior drivers

I say it every time they come out, Quadro drivers (with an .inf hack) are ALWAYS superior to any other gpu driver for nvidia.

and is there any difference with 257.21 WHQL?

extract the driver download file, and place in that directory the modded .INF file for GeForce cards, and then run the setup

uhm what? more detail, please? extracting what, from what and by what? placing in where with what and how?

1. Download the drivers
2. Double-click the .exe file; the driver installation will start and the drivers will get extracted to a directory on your hard disk drive
3. The driver installation will stop because it will not detect a quadro card in your system
4. Grab a 'modified' inf that is relevant to your OS from the original forum thread about these drivers at http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread....18#post3612618
5. Copy that .inf file to the same directory the drivers extracted to, replacing the original one
6. Navigate to that directory and run the setup executable
7. Ignore the non-whql warning during the installation
8. Profit

done, but I lost about 0.2 FPS across multiple games.... and the FPS is somewhat less stable....

well the problem is, 0.2 fps actually does matter on hardware horror games like crysis with gfx mod, stalker cs with mod and gta4 with mod

part of the problem is that the overall framerates are more jumping up and down and more stutterry

however, I don't really care with framerates issue for now since game that I'm playing now is medieval 2 tw with it's hardcoded force cpu render on huge battles stuck on a single core...
