This feature controls how vertical synchronization is applied at rendering time, automatically turning it off when frame rate is below monitor's refresh rate to reduce stuttering and turning it on when framerate is above or equal to monitor's refresh rate, improving smoothness.
- New: DVC can be activated/deactivated during the game with SHIFT+HOME key
- New: Dynamic Framerate Control (DFC) support. This feature acts like a frame rate limiter with smoothness control, just set a frame rate target and RadeonPro will try to keep it as close as possible while maintaining frame rendering times close to each other to avoid stuttering.
- New: DFC can be activated/deactivated during the game with SHIFT+END key
- New: DFC feature's frame rate target is adjustable in real time, press SHIFT+INSERT to increase the limit and SHIFT+DELETE to decrease it
- New: Lock frame rate up to monitor's refresh rate. This feature limits internal frame rendering times accordingly to refresh rate (i.e. 60 Hz = 16.67 ms) instead of waiting vertical retrace.
- New: On-Screen Display panel, showing current status of some RadeonPro features on top of game screen. Press PAGEDOWN key to toggle between full panel/reduced panel/hidden.
- New: OSD panel can be made visible since game start either globally or at profile level, just configure it on OSD tab

- New: Real time GPU monitoring with On-Screen Display support. GPU monitoring displays your video cards temperatures, utilization, FAN speed and VRAM utilization

- New: Ambient Occlusion support (DirectX 9/10/10.1/11). Please bear in mind that not all games can be forced to use Ambient Occlusion. RadeonPro currently supports Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO) and Volumetric Ambient Occlusion, different algorithms might be added in future. A list of supported games can be seen at end of changelog (see complete listing at Program Settings/Ambient Occlusion), the list will be updated based on author's tests and also based on feedback from users that have access to Ambient Occlusion debugging tool (TBD).

- New: Improved hook handling with better Steam overlay compatibility

- New: Built-in SweetFX integration, allowing global and per game SweetFX effect shaders configuration. SweetFX can be used on any DirectX 9/10/10.1/11 games running on 32-bit or 64-bit. Configure SweetFX at RadeonPro settings and remove all 3rd party injector's DLLs from game directories if you want to use RadeonPro's SweetFX integration. Obs: SweetFX shaders are disabled on Battle.net games and Planetside 2. Also, one additional module (PPContainer.dll for 32-bit/PPContainer64.dll for 64-bit) is used when SweetFX shaders are loaded in memory, making easier to detect when a game is employing custom shaders to modify games' appearance through RadeonPro
- New: Improved compatibility with Uplay and Origin overlay modules
- New: The program now warns the user when RadeonPro process is executing with elevated privileges on an UAC enabled system. Running RadeonPro with elevated privileges might break application detection, it's recommended executing RadeonPro with normal privileges (either non-admin or admin account, but not with elevated rights - i.e. don't use Run as Administrator)
- Fixed: Some games that used to hang at startup when API monitoring was active are now playable (i.e. STALKER Call of Pripyat)
- Fixed: screenshots now works in DirectX 10/11 with R10G10B10A2/B8G8R8A8 formats used by some games (Dirt 3/Showdown, F3AR). Performance is not so good as in other games, but it will be optimized soon.

- Fixed: some profile properties cannot be unset after being set (e.g. Video Spoof, Aggressive API detection and others settings)
- Fixed: D3D tweaks (forced vsync/triple-buffering) not working in some games. Try Aggresive API detection if it's not working. To quickly identify if it's working or not, try forcing Double vsync to see if framerate gets capped by 30 FPS (or half of vertical refresh rate).

Im trying to get it to work.....I am unable to get the fps counter to work..is there a trick?

I installed the prog to a folder and launched it. I can get the crossfire logo to show but not the fps counter.

Also the show MVPU on screen thingy dosnt work.

Also..when i try to "save settings" it says unable to save them.

Will try this out tonight... I hate that ATI give us "profiles" but then you have no idea if they're working or not. I wish it was an on-screen GUI in the top left/right/whatever that said "Crossfire: enabled, Profile: gamename, fps:xx".

Would be heaps better.

So does this just build profiles into CCC like the current user profiles already does? Or does it automatically launch these profiles when starting the game/application?

Does it enable and disable Crossfire per profile? Does it switch between different display options for desktop and SLS mode (eyefinity)?


I'd like to give this a try, but I'm skeptical about it's BETA designation. I've been bit too many times by that before in the past.

RadeonPro automatically activates profiles upon game launch!

The profiles are not shared with CCC. The profiles also activate much faster than profiles created in CCC.

The UI shows MUCH faster than CCC. The UI could be better, but is acceptible.

The AA settings are the same as with CCC, but include forcing the profile to e.g. Bioshock, F.E.A.R, Mass Effect or a custom executable name.

I am still evaluating it, but so far, it seems better than CCC for handling gaming profiles.

I tried using RadeonPro but the CCC backend isn't fast enough to chance the settings to allow the game to use them. 3D is simply initiated too fast.

RadeonPro therefore didn't really work on my pc. I have to manually activate profiles and well, I find this to be annoying.

Maybe RadeonPro can delay the application that is started until the profile changes have taken effect? That would cure this issue and make RadeonPro live up to its name. Maybe intercept the D3D initialization calls?

Galmok, are you using Windows XP?

I'm doing some testing now on Windows XP (never did before, the program was tested by me only on Windows 7 x64) and found that RadeonPro is in fact too fast, I had to insert a small delay just after changing the catalyst registry settings and before initiating D3D in order to make changes effective, just as you suggested.

I did try it and there was no advantage ove ATT however this uses MORE memory and recources, almost twice the amount ATT uses.

I am using Vista 64. I couldn't tell how the timing was wrong, so I made a qualified guess in how I assumed the CCC backend works.

But according to how you describe it, I wouldn't call RadeonPro too fast. I'd rather call the CCC backend slow (it would be if swapped to disk which it often is on my system). When you insert a delay after setting the registry settings, you are giving the CCC backend time to activate those settings. Maybe there is a signal or event from CCC backend that says the settings are activated? (don't think so, but one can hope). If there is such an event, you can use it to giving the go-ahead to the application or use a timeout (preferably user defined as peoples system vary).

There's a few more options to change using RadeonPro, some don't have direct relation to 3D profiles itself (like disabling Aero Glass while the game is active or forcing High priority for the game process, for example). About memory usage, what's a 25 Mb overhead nowadays where 4 Gb of Ram is so common huh? :P

Well, it's not related to CCC but Catalyst, in fact CCC doesn't need to be installed to use RadeonPro. Of course you still need CCC (or some other tool) to configure other settings not covered by RadeonPro, but CCC itself isn't a requirement to use RadeonPro.

Next build will have better effectiveness while applying profiles and should finally fix a lot of issues when running on Windows XP. I'll release it this weekend.

RadeonPro is ****ing amazing.

Able to force vSync and Triple buffering, texture LOD, Frame Skip Queue, as well as a few other awesome options.

Been using it ever since it was posted here, and it is THE best program I've had since I got my 5870.

Just installed v1.0.7.50 and I miss a few things:

1) I would like to be able to disable/enable individual profiles, mostly for testing purposes.

2) If I chose to rename an executable, the profile wouldn't work anymore. But I can add aliases to that profile which is nice. But why can't I remove the old path (line 1 in the Triggers->Application window) if there is an alias defined?

You forgot to mention the most important part: are the profiles kicking now?

About 1, you can disable process monitoring temporarily when you need to test something, by disabling particular items one could forget to re-enable them whereas by disabling the process monitoring at all you'll see an icon overlay at program's taskbar and the tray icon also changes to indicate it's disabled.

About 2, you can't change the executable name because it's being used as the key for each profile. Of course this can be modified at code level, but I don't think executables are renamed so often and as you mentioned, it's possible to add aliases too.

Yes, I know I can disable all profiles or enable all, but the individual enabling/disabling was something I missed right away. :-P E.g. when RadeonPro possibly has an error applying a profile to a game and instead of deleting the profile while CCC has to be used, it would be nice to just disable that particular profile (the user could have several other profiles that should not be disabled).

Well, as you know, renaming of executables is something we have to live with when using ATI cards. ;-) Aliases could server that purpose fine, though.

A bit better profile handling would be welcome is all I am saying, but should not take precedence over more important functionality. ;-)

Did you tried AA profiles? The AA compatibility profile feature does exactly this, the game executable is renamed "on-the-fly" with the selected profile (e.g. MassEffect.exe) when the game is launched, then it's renamed back to the original name as soon the game is finished (in most cases they get renamed back a few seconds after the game is launched, tought).

I think you (and me) was renaming files to get forced AA (or to simply force another game's driver optimizations) to work, right?

However, doesn't work on XP x64 / Cat 10.7 (NET FW 1-4 installed both 32bit & 64bit, although I can see radeonpro is flagged 32bit so that's what's used)

Installs fine, service seems to be running.

Starting from shortcut I can see "RadeonPro.exe" flash in the taskmanager process list but it immediately closes without any messages or anything.

I hope you're not using a catch-all exception handler somewhere...

Hi Maccara, thanks for trying it.

There's 2 situations where the program may fail silently. The first one is when the Mutex can't be created, in that case the program assumes there is another instance running and then simply try to set focus to other instance, then finally quits. The other situation is when it can't initialize the main window, in that case the program will set a registry entry and restart the program, making it loop forever trying to restart. I just noticed that behavior yesterday after making some tests of auto-updater code. I've noticed also that when the program can't create the mutex it will open the IPC remoting channel to set focus on main instance, but when the main instance is not running it won't be able to open the IPC channel and won't show any error message, so it's may be your case. Those are going to be fixed in next build.

If you can, please see if RadeonPro.exe process flashs repeatedly in Task Manager at 1 or 2 seconds intervals. If it doesn't flash, then the problem lies on Mutex creation.
