![]() Cooler Master's new Vortex Plus takes on the brand new AMD Athlon II processors. We put two of the six new Athlon II processors to the test with Cooler Master's new Vortex Plus compact profile heatsink and fan, check out some core unlocking, test some energy efficiency and do some overclocking. Take a look! Cooler Master Vortex Plus - Bringing the Cool to AMD's Athlon II 2010 Lineup |

![]() Another great review at Rage. ![]() I have a suggestion that you may want to consider. When testing CPUs perhaps you could use some games that are more CPU bound? Say like GTA IV? "The CPU makes very little difference here, all deliver playable frame rates with smooth transitions from lows to highs. A modern multi-core processor at 2.5GHz or higher is going to have plenty of power for a great gaming experience, as evidenced by very little difference between a 2.5GHz triple core and a 3.5GHz quad core.." Are there some other games that are more CPU dependant than those tested?

![]() Sure, as soon as I can acquire them. I don't have the cash to plunk down for games right now, maybe if people subscribe to rage3D we could get a few titles that way. |

![]() Oh yeah. It's totally more disel. In fact I heard that they were increasing the disel by a factor of 5. Which is pretty good when you factor in the normal amount of disel used in a stock heatsink. But in the end, it doesn't matter how much disel you add, it's the real world performance that matters. Still, there are always going to be those need to lengthen their e-penis by spouting out disel numbers. |
